Stephen and Ayesha Curry celebrated a few loved-up moments after his fourth NBA Championship with the Golden State Warriors in June. What do most athletes do after a big win? They head to Disney World, but the Curry family is taking it to the next level. Instead of a vacation with Mickey Mouse, they went and bought a home in Winter Park, Florida, close to the Orlando theme park. They will have plenty of precious memories at Disney with their three kids, daughter Riley, 10, and sons Ryan, 7, and Canon, 4, in the future.
The 4,242-square-foot vacation home was built in 2015 and features four bedrooms and five bathrooms on over a quarter-acre of land. Steph and Ayesha must have wanted this place badly because they happily paid $400,000 over the listing price — the former owner must have been thrilled to pocket $2.1 million for their recently renovated residence. The property is bright with tons of natural light streaming in through the windows. The open floor plan on the first floor also encourages people to move throughout the space leading to the patio and a lush backyard.
The one big-ticket item that is shockingly missing from the A-list athlete’s residence is a pool. It looks like there is room in the backyard for a small, serviceable pool to be built, which seems like a must-have amenity in the Florida heat. Ayesha is probably mapping out the backyard right now, which we hope she will share in a future issue of her Sweet July magazine. Gourmet Kitchen
We know Ayesha loves to cook, so she’s going to enjoy whipping up a few meals for her family — she can entertain with that conversational island or the cozy seating area.
Open Floor Plan
The kitchen opens up to the living room and the outdoor patio, which creates a lovely flow to the space.
The Ultimate Primary Suite
The primary suite operates as its own unit with a living area, a wet bar for those romantic champagne evenings, and a separate entrance for sneaking in and out of the house.
Clean Lines
The bathroom has a soaking tub, but it’s the zero-entry shower that makes this bathroom a real winner.
Where Is the Pool?
It’s downright shocking to see a Florida home in this price range without a pool. Surely this will be the first item on the Currys list after they move in, right?
