Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have returned to Europe for a short tour of events! Their jam-packed schedule starts with the 2022 One Young World Summit in Manchester, England on September 5, followed by a stint in Dusseldorf, Germany for the annual Invictus Games, and ends with the WellChild Awards in London, England on September 8.
This is the couple’s first return to the UK following Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, which took place in June. Their attendance was met with muted hostility from the royal family, who has not warmed up since due to several behind-the-scenes stories shared by Meghan on her newly released No. 1 podcast, Archetypes.
Even prior to Archetype‘s smash success and cause for subsequent fallout, the Duke and Duchess’s return to the UK was not looking to be a warm occasion for familial forgiveness. On the outs with Princes Charles and William, specifically, since the infamous Oprah interview, Meghan and Harry have rarely returned to England for anything more than events for charitable causes they support. Other than attending events in the Queen’s honor, the royal-but-no-longer-royal couple has focused their attention on settling into their California home as a family of four.
While their European excursion will only last a few short days, there are already an abundance of great photos of the Duke and Duchess’s philanthropic adventure.
