Marilyn Monroe has continued to be a Hollywood icon for decades after her death, inspiring music and films alike. And the most recent biopic on Monroe is bound to be a groundbreaking release. Held at the legendary TCL Chinese Theatre on Sept 13, 2022, in Los Angeles, California, stars from all over came to see the Los Angeles premiere of the long-awaited biopic Blonde.

Starring Ana De Armas as Marilyn Monroe and Adrien Brody as Monroe’s third husband Arthur Miller, the long-awaited Netflix film was based on the novel Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates. This film shows the two sides of Monroe: the one everyone saw on stage as the happy-go-lucky star and Norma Jeane Mortenson, who she really was behind the scenes. It goes in-depth on her private life, addiction, exploitation, and her tumultuous love life, illuminating an even darker side to the legend’s life.

As the first NC-17-rated film to be on a streaming service, everyone is itching to see it when it’s released on Netflix on Sept 28. With Andrew Dominik as the director and Brad Pitt producing, you know it’s going to be a wild ride.

Blonde already has its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 8, 2022, with more premieres happening until its world release in late Sept. And we, for one, can’t wait to see De Armas play the Hollywood legend!
