After weeks of preparing for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, the day has come when mourners and family arrive at Buckingham Palace. At 8 AM in Britain, the doors of Westminster Abbey opened for people to take their seats. Soon after, King Charles III and his family led in marching behind their departed Queen’s coffin. You could feel the grief and sorrow through the photos, specifically from her noble family, who’ve tried to honor her memory in every way since her passing.
On Sept 8, Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96, after reigning for 70 years. Since then, her children and grandchildren have been honoring her in subtle ways and following royal protocols needed to send her off.
While tensions have been high with many of the royal family members, it seems though they’re putting it all aside to send off their “granny.”
From King Charles III to the Prince and Princess of Wales, from many extended family members to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, nearly everyone has come to show their respects. And don’t even get us started on all of the mourners outside the palace and around Britain.
