Prince William & Kate Middleton Inherited a ‘Secret’ Wales Countryside Estate After Queen Elizabeth’s Death — See Photos!

The royal family real estate shuffle continues in the wake of Queen Elizabeth’s passing. With King Charles III ascending to the throne, Prince William and Kate Middleton inherited a countryside home, Llwynywermod Estate, which was Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort’s “secret” getaway for years. The residence has only been in the family for 15 years, so that’s why its existence on outskirts of Myddfai may come as a surprise to some.

Prince William, in addition to become the Prince of Wales, also inherited the title of the Duke of Cornwall. That brings the responsibilities of maintaining the Duchy of Cornwall, which originally was established “in 1337 by Edward III to provide independence to his son and heir, Prince Edward,” per the Mirror. Even though, Llwynywermod Estate, was bought in 2007 for £1.2m (over $1.3 million) by Charles, the farmhouse is part of Duchy Estate, so that’s how William and Kate inherited it.

There’s plenty for the young family to enjoy, including the main house, a barn, tons of walking paths, and three cottages to have guests visit, spread out over 192 acres. Charles and Camilla made themselves a part of the small community, so perhaps the Prince and Princess of Wales will do the same. With homes at Kensington Palace, Adelaide Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle, and Anmer Hall in Norfolk, they have plenty of places for a staycation in their very royal lives.
