Elizabeth Banks Dropped $2 Million on This Cheerful Live-Work Home With Ultra Colorful Touches — See Photos!

There’s nothing quite like admiring celebrity homes. From the open spaces and stunning backyards to the whopping price points, we just love learning what celebrities buy and sell so we can admire them from afar. This time it was Elizabeth Banks and longtime husband Max Handelman who decided to take a plunge and buy this colorful new home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles.

Built in the 1930s, the remodeled single-level home was sold for $2.1 million, almost $400,000 over the asking price after a tense bidding war, Dirt reported. The home was previously sold in December 2012 for $770,000. What a profit! The couple will reportedly use their new place as live-work space for their company, Brownstone Productions.

The two bathroom, two bedroom home, unlike other massive celebrity estates, rests at only 0.13 acres. Even though it’s more compact, the bright colors and grassy backyard oasis make for a unique and inviting home. Other highlights include a wood-burning fireplace, a subway tile backsplash in the kitchen and a refreshing blue-colored breakfast nook next to the outside door.

Check out more details of the home below and for some extra photos be sure to check out Dirt’s coverage!
