On October 24, actors, musicians, athletes, activists and more were honored at the Time100 Next event. The gathering, inspired by Time’s annual Time100 list, recognizes 100 rising stars from across industries and around the world.
“What unites these individuals are their extraordinary efforts to shape our world — and to define our future,” the magazine explained while discussing the selection process.
Among the honorees of the night were Nope star Keke Palmer, I’m Glad My Mom Died author Jenette McCurdy, Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa, and Mainstream Sellout singer Machine Gun Kelly. Abortion rights advocate Caitlin Bernard, soccer star Trinity Rodman, author Casey McQuiston and environmentalist Leah Thomas were also honored.
At the event, held at the SECOND in New York City, honorees gave speeches and toasts as well as enjoyed each other’s company during cocktails.

Keke Palmer
Keke Palmer looked impeccable in this Christian Siriano gown and Pasquale Bruni jewels. Honored in the “Innovators” category, Palmer was also the host of the big night.
“Keke is the future,” wrote Queen Latifah of her former costar, “and I can’t wait to see the things that she will do as she continues on her journey.”
Megan Fox
Although Megan Fox was not on the honoree list, the actress was there in support of her fiancé Machine Gun Kelly. She also looked stunning in this structured copper dress as she rocked her new red hair.
Machine Gun Kelly
Machine Gun Kelly turned heads on the red carpet wearing this sheer corset with matching black leather gloves and pants. Honored in the “Artists” category, friend and fellow singer Avril Lavigne wrote about Kelly for the outlet. “Not only is he a great musician and songwriter — as heard on his recent album, Mainstream Sellout — but he also acts, directs, and is an amazing father,” she said.
Ncuti Gatwa
Honored in the “Artists” catergory, Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa created his own twist on the corset top. The Rwandan-Scottish actor embraced androgyny in this white button-down with a black corset and navy shorts.
Most recently, Gatwa was announced as the next Doctor Who for the franchise, which will be available to stream on Disney+. We can’t wait to see what he does with the role!
Simone Ashley
Bridgerton Season 2 star Simone Ashley was one of the honorees in the “Phenoms” category. Wearing a sheer floral top with matching leggings, the star had an inspiring toast to the room during the event.
“We can be the change no matter what we look like, where we come from, the color of our skin, what our journey might look like, we can celebrate the new,” Ashley said, per Time. “Or perhaps we can celebrate what was already there and never got the chance to be seen.”
Trinity Rodman
Professional soccer player and Dennis Rodman’s daughter Trinity Rodman was also honored in the “Phenoms” category, looked angelic in this two-piece KYHA Studios ensemble. Her simple jewelry and bold red lip was the perfect pairing for this white set.
Lashana Lynch
As one of the “Artists” honored in the big night, Lashana Lynch looked sleek and sexy in this mint-colored figure-hugging dress. Her The Woman King costar Viola Davis wrote of Lynch, “She is someone who will fight beside you, hold you up when you cannot stand, see you despite your invisibility to others, and blast a hole in this lifetime to remind us that she was HERE!”
Lily Collins & Charlie McDowell
Emily in Paris star Lily Collins and husband Charlie McDowell looked so cute together at the event’s red carpet. While McDowell kept it classic in a black suit, Collins looked incredible in this sequined red dress which oozed 60s-inspired glam.
Describing the actress to Time, Emily in Paris director Darren Starr had many kind words to say about the Netflix star. “She has the most amazing equanimity about her — the best attitude, inspiring work ethic, and such a positive spirit,” he wrote.
Jennette McCurdy
Jennette McCurdy was another star honored in the “Artists” category and showed up wearing a glam strapless pink top and ballooning skirt. McCurdy, who recently released her candid memoir I’m Glad My Mom Died, was honored by Molly Shannon. “She had to find her voice to survive,” Shannon wrote, “And what a powerful voice it is!
