Ellen Degeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are known for making some bold real estate moves. From their whopping $45 Million Tuscan Montecito mansion to their most recent Bel-Air mansion, the Hollywood couple is famous for making some huge investments.
This week, they’ve decided to make another big move: they’re selling their Montecito cottage for $5.85 million. This decision comes almost six months after Degeneres and de Rossi bought the home back in May for $5.4 million, Dirt reported. According to the outlet, the space is mostly unchanged from its prior listing.
The home, built back in 1915, is the perfect mix of contemporary and classic features. Luxe furniture, for example, perfectly contrast the original vaulted ceilings.
Standout details of the 1,900 square feet home also include granite countertops in the kitchen, a fully renovated kitchen with new cabinets, an outside eating area, a gurgling outdoor fountain, and two detached buildings that could serve as a guesthouse and an office.
Check out pictures of the home below and be sure to check out more details and photos from Dirt‘s coverage!
A Crimson Hello
There’s nothing quite like a pop of color on the front door to make guests smile and feel welcome.
Classic Meets New
Using a neutral color scheme, this home shows the perfect medium between the original features and more modern accents.
Windows Galore
Large windows make up most of the home’s exterior-facing walls. The natural light definitely brightens up the space and makes it feel much bigger.
Perfect For All Cooks
The kitchen is a dream for cooks with granite countertops and new white cabinetry all around.
Super Spacious
This owner’s room boasts plenty of space and these unique ceilings are to die for!
Bright & Airy
The bathroom, much like the kitchen, is decorated with crisp white cabinets.
