For the past 40 years, Brooke Shields has been a staple in the entertainment world. Whether you first knew her from her controversial role in Blue Lagoon or her incredible modeling career, from playing Miley Cyrus’ mom in Hannah Montanato her voice work in Mr. Pickles, she’s virtually done it all — including being a fashion icon.
Over the years, Shields has been open about her relationship to her body. She previously told SheKnows that her confidence shifted after being pregnant, “I was never skinny [in the modeling world]. I was always told I was too big. When I got pregnant, and I had to feed this baby, and I had to be bigger, I finally started reveling in the fact that I had this body that was going to carry this thing.”
And with that, you can see a shift in not only her red-carpet fashion, but the showstopping photos she posts to her Instagram. In a previous interview with Vogue, Shields reflected on her fashion over the years, saying, “I don’t wear something if I don’t love it and feel good in it. It took me a while to get confident in having an opinion.”
