Finding matching couples’ outfits can be a hard feat to accomplish. After all, it’s rare that two people have items in their closets that will have similar colors and perfectly complement one another without having to buy something new. For Prince William and Kate Middleton, however, rocking color-coordinated matching outfits seems so effortless and fun.
In fact, the two, who have been married since their royal wedding in 2011, have matched a number of times throughout their years as royals together. When their first-born Prince George was born, for example, the two stepped out of St Mary’s Hospital in matching light blue outfits. While new mom Middleton wore a blue dress with white polka dots, William stepped out in navy pants and a baby blue button-down. So sweet!
One of the most notable times was when the royal power couple matched yet again at the 2023 BAFTA Awards. At the star-studded event, Middleton stole the show in a white one-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress with statement cascading flower earrings from Zara, long-sleeved black gloves from Cornelia James, a matching black Alexander McQueen clutch, and gold Aquazzura pumps to match the earrings. Matching his wife, Prince William wore a dapper black velvet suit, a white button-down, and a black bowtie.
