While the BAFTA is always an elegant, stylish affair, there is a special place in our hearts for the looks we consider to be some of the best BAFTAs red carpet moments of all time.
The British Academy Film Awards (also known as the BAFTAs or BAFTA Film Awards) is one of the most prestigious international film ceremonies. Dating back to the first award show in 1949, stars from all over the world have come to honor their colleague’s amazing contributions to the world of film. From Oscar winners like Emma Thompson to members of the British Royal family like Prince William and Kate Middleton, everyone comes to this award show — and they all come in style.
While the more daring fashion choices happen at the Grammys or the Oscars (yes, we’re talking about Björk’s iconic swan dress), that doesn’t mean some seriously head-turning fashion moments don’t happen at the BAFTAs. The BAFTAs have seen some seriously gorgeous looks that people still think about years or decades later, from Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow’s unprecedented crop top moment to Jodie Turner-Smith’s vibrant yellow gown.
At the 2025 BAFTAs we were treated to even more memorable looks from stylish attendees, giving us many more dramatic looks to reflect on.
