At the 95th annual Academy Awards, actresses over 40 are absolutely taking over. Each of them wowed in incredible gowns and impeccable makeup, proving that they’re veterans of their craft and of the red carpet.
Across the board, we’re seeing women over 40 who are being honored for their incredible work on-screen this year. In the Supporting Actress category, for example, all of the nominees (Jamie Lee Curtis, Angela Bassett, Kerry Condon, and Hong Chau) are over 40 except for Everything Everywhere All at Once‘s Stephanie Hsu. In the Best Actress category, the same pattern can be seen, the only star under 40 is Blonde‘s Ana de Armas. Nominees include Michelle Williams, Andrea Riseborough, Cate Blanchett, and Michelle Yeoh.
As we continue to admire their looks on the carpet, we can’t wait to see if they win some awards too!
