When you think of Disney princesses, chances are you think about their gorgeous curls and the stunning gowns you wish you could twirl in on a daily basis. A Disney princess’s go-to dress is typically colorful, puffy, and a ballgown dream we can never take our eyes off of. (Sadly, Disney princesses haven’t quite understood how gorgeous and powerful a black gown can be just yet!) While we see ballgowns quite a bit on the red carpets, this year’s Academy Awards were full of them.
On March 12, it seemed like every single star in Hollywood came out to celebrate the biggest night in the entertainment world. While a bunch arrived in style on the official Oscars red carpet, quite a few of our favorite stars decided to hit up the after-parties instead.
Whether it was the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party, Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 31st Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party, the Governor’s Ball, or another A-list-packed party, our favorite celebs came in some jaw-dropping ensembles!
However, if you’re anything like us eagle-eyed fans, then you noticed a pattern on both the red carpets. No, it wasn’t the naked dresses, or even a color everyone decided to wear — it was the fact that everyone wanted to channel an IRL Disney princess.
Go big or go home, and these stars really went big (with their ballgown skirts, of course!)
Check out which stars channeled their inner Disney princess at any of the events for the 2023 Oscars below!

Allison Williams’ sheer pink ballgown from Giambattista Valli is definitely something we’d see at the last scene of a Disney movie.
