On March 13, members of the British Royal Family joined alongside guests and performers at this year’s Commonwealth Day Service. The symbolic day, of course, is the first since Queen Elizabeth II’s passing in September of 2022. Given that all its royal attendees have changed titles and roles since then, the big day marks a major milestone.
In attendance were King Charles III and his wife Queen Consort Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and the newest Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
“Commonwealth Day provides an opportunity to celebrate the diversity and achievements of the organization and its citizens,” reads an official statement from the royal family. In this year’s event, the official theme was “Forging a Sustainable and Peaceful Common Future.” Per the Palace, the theme aims to highlight “the active commitment of the family of nations to support the promotion of peace, prosperity, and sustainability, especially through climate action, to secure a better future for young people and improve the lives of all Commonwealth citizens.”

At the service, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, looked stunning wearing a floral navy skirt and blazer from Erdem. She then paired the two-piece set with matching navy accessories including a hat, heels, and a clutch. (Find a similar style HERE and HERE!)
