By now we know Avril Lavigne isn’t afraid to make some bold choices in 2023. In addition to suddenly ending her engagement to singer Mod Sun in February, the “Complicated” singer then debuted her new beau, rapper Tyga, during an unexpected and PDA-filled outing during Paris Fashion Week. Now, the songstress is making another major move in her life: she’s selling her gorgeous beachfront Malibu home for $12 million, Dirt reports.
The home, which was bought by Lavigne back in October 2020 for $7.8 million, was built decades ago in 1960s. But if the date scares you don’t fret because the property has been thoroughly renovated and modernized since by luxury developer Scott Gillen.
The three-bedroom and three-bathroom home, which spans under 3,500 square feet of living space, has an expansive list of amenities. In the great room, for example, an open concept layout seamlessly joins the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Above it, an exposed wood-beam ceiling gives the home a warm and rustic touch. And, like most other celebrity houses, the kitchen is any chef’s dream with high-end appliances and an eat-in island.
In the master bedroom, there’s a custom walk-in closet, private access to outside, a clawfoot soaking tub and a glass-encased shower. Outside, amazing features continue with a patio decked out with a fire-pit and a barbecue perfect for entertaining in addition to a sauna, a tanning sundeck, a pool and a spa. Other bonuses of the home include a detached guesthouse with its own bedroom and bath, an attached two-car garage and a water-softening system. Oh, and did we mention it’s right on the beach? What a dream!
