Paris Jackson may be just 25 years old, but she’s made quite a name for herself in the fashion industry since stepping out on the scene in 2017.
With her talismanic tattoos, ever-changing hair, and ever-present bohemian jewelry, the sole daughter of global icon Michael Jackson has an impressively unique aesthetic that never wavers in the face of what’s trending in fashion at the moment. “I have had the same style since high school: a combination of ’60s, ’70s, and ’90s,” the IMG model told LVR in 2022.
“I love a good bellbottom, Earth tones, Doc Martens, ripped leggings, and band t-shirts for day-to-day. It’s boho grunge,” she labeled her style. Her boho grunge aesthetic transcends from casualwear to her red carpet ensembles, which, throughout her style evolution over the past few years, have steadily revolved around vintage garments with modern twists, sleek silk gowns, punk rock details, and a tall stack of bohemian bracelets.

And although we’d argue there are certain things about her style that seem signature to her (like the aforementioned bracelets), Jackson disagrees. “‘Signature’ seems like it would be relatively original, and that is not the case with my sound or my look. I just take [ideas] from a lot of the things that I like. Nothing’s really mine; it’s just a melting pot of my favorites,” she explained to Allure in 2023.
From one of her very first red carpet appearances in 2017 to her most recent event ensembles, scroll on for a look at Paris Jackson’s style evolution over the years.
Beaded in Balmain, 2017
One of Jackson’s first major solo appearances was at the 2017 Grammys. She walked the red carpet wearing a disco-inspired Balmain gown with strands of delicate metallic beadwork, cutouts at the waist, and a mid-thigh slit. She finished the look with strappy olive green heels and an oil-slick-colored clutch.
A Sheer Moment, 2017
Jackson chose a more daring and feminine look for the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards later that year — a sheer, embroidered Christian Dior dress overtop a matching Dior bra and boyshorts set. She added a few pieces of delicate jewelry and a pair of strappy champagne-colored heels to enhance the ethereal vibe of the ensemble.
Bold Florals, 2017
The American Horror Stories actress was known to rock a bold print during the late 2010s, and she did just that in this Jenny Packham tiered dress at a black-tie event in New York City. She tied in bohemian elements with a braided bracelet and corded gemstone necklace for an overall eclectic look.
Sexy & Sleek, 2017
Jackson looked sultry and polished in this olive green skirt and blazer outfit, which she wore to a 2017 Global Citizen Live event. We love the attention to detail that went into coordinating the ribbon detailing in the skirt with the similarly detailed kitten heels. This more sophisticated yet sexy styling would become the predominant vibe of Jackson’s fashion aesthetic in later years.
Bohemian Dream, 2017
Jackson’s love for bohemian fashion was on full display at a 2017 mothers2mothers and Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation event, during which she wore this off-the-shoulder floral maxi dress by Zac Posen. Fully leaning into the bohemian aesthetic, she added a variety of beaded necklaces, corded bracelets, colorful rings, and artsy earrings to the look.
Supporting Stella, 2018
At the Stella McCartney Autumn/Winter 2018 fashion show in Los Angeles, Jackson wore a striped sweater mini dress, an oversized belt bag, and platform boots by the designer brand. The look incorporates both the eclectic and boho elements Jackson was becoming known for in her style preferences.
Gorgeous in Green, 2018
Wearing a Tinker Bell-esque Versace gown to the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar party, Jackson looked exceptionally stunning and more grown-up than ever. The fairy lookalike moment may have been intentional — the singer’s father famously felt akin to Peter Pan, and according to Rolling Stone, he used to call his daughter Tinker Bell. She even has “faith, trust, and pixie dust” tattooed near her collarbone.
From the bejeweled shoulder pads and the intricate bodice to the draping sheer skirt and metallic green pumps, this ensemble signified a new chapter in the “let down” singer’s style evolution.
Punk Princess, 2018
Attending the premiere of Gringo in 2018, Jackson wore a black Valentino gown with a full tulle skirt and a bejeweled snake adorned across her torso. She paired silver hoop earrings and her now-signature assortment of bohemian bracelets with the punk princess-inspired look, along with a towering pair of black platform pumps. This would be the first of many glam-goth looks the singer would don in the coming years.
Rocker Chic, 2018
At The Daily Front Row’s 4th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards in 2018, Jackson rocked this edgy look: a silk and lace slip dress with a matching bomber jacket, both by Moschino, along with a pair of floral-patterned booties. Her eclectic smattering of jewelry was out in full force, and her multi-colored hair certainly added to the rocker vibe.
Playing with Prints, 2018
Feeling like somewhat of an ode to her very first bold patterned fashion choices, Jackson wore a multi-print jumpsuit by Versace at the brand’s fall 2019 fashion show in New York City. With her slicked-back hair, statement earrings and rings, black chainlink purse, and dramatic eye makeup, she totally pulled off the loud look — a feat we’re not sure many others could have achieved.
Old Hollywood Glam, 2019
In the same way that her 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar party look felt like a turning point in her style evolution, Jackson’s 2019 ensemble for that year’s event felt like the beginning of another new chapter. The actress wore a jaw-dropping silk tangerine-colored Vivienne Westwood gown — one of her most elegant looks to date. Embracing the Old Hollywood aesthetic, she added a statement necklace, a black velvet clutch, and strappy gold heels with her hair styled in glamorous waves of the bygone era.
Slinking in Silk, 2019
Jackson wore another stunning silk gown at the 2019 amFAR gala — a blush-colored Alberta Ferretti gown with a beaded bodice peeking out at the bust. The look felt equal parts feminine and edgy thanks to the rock-inspired styling of her hair as well as her ever-present tattoos, smoky eyeshadow, septum jewelry, and perhaps most notably, a single dangling bone earring.
Dramatic & Dreamy, 2020
Jackson cemented the fact that she comes to slay at the Vanity Fair Oscar party with yet another absolutely breathtaking look at the 2020 event. This time wearing a baby pink and turquoise feathered gown by Versace, she paired a dream catcher necklace, a single dangling earring, and her signature bracelet stacks with the dreamy dress.
A Vintage Vision, 2021
Attending the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project’s Night Out event in 2021, the Scream actress looked like a vision in this vintage-inspired Vivienne Westwood dress with a uniquely constructed corset bodice. Jackson added a pair of chunky platform sandals that look like something Marilyn Monroe would have worn with one of her own glamorous outfits, as well as an assortment of delicate gold jewelry (and her, you guessed it, stack of boho bracelets).
Bohemia to the Max, 2021
Embracing the bohemian aesthetic more than she ever had before, Jackson wore a Jonathan Simkhai lace maxi dress with a braided headpiece at the 2021 Elizabeth Taylor Ball To End AIDS event. It’s giving 1960s Mother Earth peace and love hippy in the best way possible.
‘Pirates of the Caribbean’-Core, 2021
At the 2021 amfAR gala, the actress channeled her best Kiera Knightley circa Pirates of the Caribbean in this incredible Vivienne Westwood dress. The modern take on an Elizabethan-style dress is nothing short of awe-inspiring, and Jackson does the garment major justice — her tattoos make the look even edgier, and the yellow-gold platform pumps compliment the antique gold detailing in the dress extremely well.
Vivienne Westwood would continue to be well represented by Jackson during this era of her style evolution thanks to their shared love of reimagined vintage-inspired fashion.
Grungy Glam, 2021
Rocking Vivienne Westwood once again, Jackson looked feminine, edgy, and stylish as ever at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards in this captivating ruched gown with electric blue trim. With fishnet tights, multi-colored plaid-print platform sandals, and her usual boho-eclectic jewelry, the “lighthouse” singer was grungy glam perfection.
Playing Again With Patterns, 2021
Jackson’s love for prints resurfaced at the grand opening of Carversteak at Resorts World Las Vegas in 2021. The more muted color palette and sophisticated design of this sheer look signified an elegant evolution in her style, moving away from the loud and intensely colorful choices of 2017 and 2018 to a more refined pattern aesthetic. The deep burgundy booties and handbag Jackson paired with this look also complement both the champagne and blue tones in her outfit beautifully.
Smoke Show, 2022
Again repping Vivienne Westwood at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar party, Jackson perfectly balanced grunge and glam elements once more with her uniquely ruffled high-low dress, hot pink smoky eye, messy-chic updo, and burnt orange velvet pumps. The dress alone is a fashion masterpiece, and Jackson is undeniably the perfect model for the stunning garment.
Gleaming in Gold, 2022
Jackson was utterly breathtaking at the 2022 Elizabeth Taylor Ball To End AIDS event in this ochre-colored strapless silk gown by Rasario. She paired metallic bronze heels, gold bracelets, and mismatching earrings with the look. In addition to anything designed by Vivienne Westwood, she’s clearly developed a preference for figure-hugging silk gowns as her style has evolved, and we love to see it.
Vampy “It” Girl, 2022
Attending the Givenchy Womenswear Spring/Summer 2023 fashion show in Paris, Jackson wore a black crocheted mini dress, pointed-toe sock boots, and a chain-link purse by the designer brand. With her hair blown back from her face, her darkly-filled eyebrows, the intense cheek contour, and the deep red color on her lips, she looks like the vampiest “It” girl we’ve ever seen.
Bronze Beauty, 2023
At the 2023 Netflix premiere of Pamela, a love story, Jackson donned another silk gown, this one a bronze beauty with a low back by SER.O.YA. She paired a metallic gold Dior handbag and Stuart Weitzman pumps with the sophisticated and sexy look.
Tantalizing in Tulle, 2023
Absolutely nailing the assignment yet again at the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar party (who’s surprised at this point?), Jackson looked like a punk rock princess in this high-low Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. Its flowing train, tiered layers of tulle, shimmering detailing, and dramatic neckline make for a glamorously gothic look that we won’t be forgetting anytime soon. The actress added black pumps, gold hoops, and a vampy lip to the ensemble with her hair slicked back in her signature punk style for a look that feels like an evolved version of her 2018 Gringo appearance in Valentino.
Effortlessly Gorgeous in Gucci, 2023
Jackson achieved effortlessly chic vibes in this slinky Gucci ensemble, which she wore to the 2023 Fashion Trust US Awards. From her neutral-toned makeup to her nude heels and gold jewelry, this look feels like a cross between Greek goddess and ’70s Cher — we really can’t get enough of Jackson’s stylistic choices at this point in her fashion evolution.
