There has been confusion as to whether or not Meghan Markle would be attending the coronation of King Charles III — and it seemed as though she wouldn’t win with the royals, no matter her decision. After weeks of consideration and speculation, she and Prince Harry finally gave the answer that while Harry will be attending King Charles III’s historic coronation, Meghan will stay in Montecito, California.

Now, since this news broke, many members of the British royal family were reportedly “relieved” that Meghan wouldn’t be coming, and that they could avoid being cordial. (But it seems as though King Charles was reportedly sad about the fact that the Duchess of Sussex wouldn’t be in attendance, with the News International saying Meghan’s decision “let down” a few members of the family!) However, it seems that one group is exceptionally excited that Meghan won’t be going to the coronation.

Per reports from the News International, the Buckingham Palace staff allegedly had a very telling response when they heard the news that Meghan wouldn’t be in attendance at the historic event. In fact, the staff reportedly had a boisterous, joyful response and were “cheering that the circus wasn’t coming to town.” Ouch.

Now, this news isn’t particularly shocking for longtime royal fans, because, as many know, quite a few reports have come in that the staff aren’t the biggest fan of Meghan. For instance, the most recent example is the fact that since it took weeks after the RSVP date for Meghan and Harry to give an answer, it reportedly gave the staff and organizers a “headache,” per Yahoo. (And that’s only the tip of the iceberg!)
