When we think of celebrities at Cannes, we often think of the hundreds of celebrities that grace the carpets of the Cannes film festival every year. And though celebs looked incredible all throughout this week at the festival’s countless premieres, there’s one more event that brought celebs together in great style: the amfAR Cannes Gala.
The Gala, hosted by Queen Latifah on May 25, brought together celebs from all over the world to raise funds for the HIV/AIDS research organization at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc.
“We are thrilled to be returning to Cannes this year for what promises to be another exciting and memorable gala raising funds for amfAR’s lifesaving AIDS research programs,” amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost said in a statement, per Variety. “We are grateful to our generous sponsors, our event chairs and all our friends in the entertainment community for recognizing the importance of supporting amfAR’s work.”
Among the performers of the night are Halsey, Gladys Knight, Adam Lambert and Bebe Rexha. CR Fashion Book founder Carine Roitfeld is set to curate the pieces for the fashion show. As for the carpet, actresses like Kate Beckinsale and Eva Longoria and models like Helena Christensen and Alessandra Ambrosio, among many others, showed up in head-turning looks.
