We’ve seen some pretty lavish celebrity weddings over the years. From Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s multiple-day wedding celebration in Italy to multi-million dollar big days, so many celebrities go big for the big day. Some put in their entire budget for that sparkling ring, while others want all eyes on the wedding gown, but sometimes, celebrities go all out with the most lavish location there is to get married: in an actual castle!
You probably think that castle weddings are reserved for royals, but if you got the check, you can get married in a literal fairytale location. It’s kind of crazy to think about but it’s also the ultimate way to make it feel like the fairytale wedding of their dreams.
Chances are, you remember when Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise married in an Italian castle, or when years before when David Beckham and Victoria Beckham married in a Dublin castle. It seems like marrying in a castle in the late 1990s and early 2000s was the ultimate status symbol. It seemed like every single one of our favs were getting married there.
The last big castle wedding was back in 2011 with fashion designer Petra Ecclestone and businessman James Stunt, and since then, we’ve been patiently waiting for our next favorite A-listers to have a fairytale wedding in a castle.

Ellie Goulding and Caspar Jopling went all out for their Aug 2019 wedding. While they had a small ceremony in the historic York Minster, they rented out Castle Howard in Yorkshire for the reception. So we’re counting it!

Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar had their lavish 2007 wedding held at the 15th century Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe, England, which is known for being the final resting place for Henry VIII’s sixth wife Catherine Parr.

Did you really expect Madonna to not have a luxurious wedding? Back in 2000, Madonna and Guy Ritchie wed in Skibo Castle in the Scottish Highlands. Also known as the Carnegie Club, this castle is now known as an exclusive residential club.
