When you think about royal life, chances are, you think that’s their only job. Well, that isn’t entirely the case. There’s a lot to being a royal, and all the titles that come with it, but there are a bunch of members in the British royal family who have day jobs that have nothing to do with the Firm.
For some reason, no one talks about the fact that so many members of the British royal family have normal jobs. We’re not just talking about the jobs Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton had before marrying into the royal family; we’re also talking about the ones who currently have totally normal jobs (along with being Princesses and Lords).
That’s right, quite a few members of the royal family hold impressive positions in the art world, software world, and even in modeling. It goes to show that we really don’t know everything that goes on with being a royal.
But along with these members having impressive careers currently, quite a few have had an array of odd jobs over the years. (Honestly, way more than you think!) From production companies to ball girls, from dance and yoga instructing to freelance calligraphy, there’s so much more to these royals’ lives than we ever thought.
Check out which members of the British royal family had normal jobs (and which ones had multiple throughout their life) below:
