When you’re a celebrity, you are just like everyone else in the fact that you have good days and bad days. It’s hard always being put under a microscope and possibly having your bad days broadcasted for all to see and judge. It happens to nearly every celebrity, and many more or less just move on from it. However, the thing that really sets apart the bad days from the bad behavior is how certain celebrities have interacted with their fans.
Sometimes, it’s a one-off incident, but other times, it makes you wonder. It’s true; sometimes certain fans don’t understand boundaries and push celebrities to a breaking point. We’ve seen that, and we’ve seen celebrities handle it in their own ways, from more tactful means like tweeting a response to more drastic means like stopping an entire concert.
Most recently, everybody has been buzzing about Doja Cat’s odd, now-archived rants fans saying her devoted fans need to “get a job” if they call themselves “Kittenz.” A couple of weeks before that, Miranda Lambert made headlines for her response to fans taking photos at one of her concerts.
From Rihanna’s physical response on stage to Courtney Love’s many, many yelling rants towards fans, from Cat’s odd tweets to Lambert’s selfie rant on stage, check out which celebrities have gotten into spats with fans, below:

She responded to the hate with an open letter on her Instagram story reading, “Hey weirdos. Do any of you have the emotional intelligence to consider that maybe [Boyce] doesn’t want her celebrity clients donating large sums of money to her because it creates a dynamic in her working relationships that makes her uncomfortable?”
Per People, she continued, saying, “I just obliged her request. Anything she needs from me personally she will ask and [I] will do it privately. One thing you’re not going to accuse me of is being miserly or lacking generosity. So try again on another day (probably [tomorrow]!) with some different bulls— you bunch of psychos.”
Rose McGowan
Back in 2018, Rose McGowan started screaming at a transgender woman after she said McGowan made transmisogynist statements on RuPaul’s podcast. McGowan screamed at her to “shut up” and then asked her, “What have you done for women?” and more harsh words while at a book reading.

In a series of now-deleted tweets, she said “My fans don’t get to name themselves s–t. If you call yourself a ‘Kitten’ or f- – – – – -g ‘Kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house,” per People. “Kittenz” refers to the fan name that she gave to her fans. I work too f—ing hard for this s–t, OK? I worked too hard for this moment. I’m from Staten Island, New York, and I’m standing on this stage right here. “OK, good night, that’s it, You throw s–t at me, you don’t get a f–king show. Take your Bon Jovi shirt and go f–k yourself with Eddie Vedder’s dildo, all right?” She Yelled, canceling her show soon after. “Is little Miss Dutch B—h mad cause I f—ed Trent [Reznor]? Is she mad that I f—ed Brad Pitt? Is she mad that I f—ed Evan [Dando]? Is she mad that I married Kurt [Cobain]? Well tough s–t, you ugly fat goth! […] That’s f—ing it! I paid, you paid. I fulfilled my contract, go f–k yourself! Kurt hated this town, I hate this town, you’re on way too much hash, go f–k yourself! […] Go see Nine Inch Nails next time, they’re much more your kinda crowd. Maybe they’ll please you a lot, you little goth s–theads,” per Distractify.

Per Rolling Stone, Hayley Williams of Paramore stopped their set mid-show at Madison Square Garden when she noticed a fight breaking out between a couple and a few other fans. Now at the time, she responded to the couple telling them “Yes, I will embarrass both of you. Both of you need to find somewhere else to take care of that s*** because that’s not happening here tonight, this is our house. How are you gonna disrupt one of our favourite songs to play at our show?”
Unlike 99 percent of the other stars on this list, Williams actually issued an apology to the couple after she discovered more details. “I am sorry for whatever shame or embarrassment I may have caused you,” she wrote, per Variety. “Without the opportunity for a proper back and forth (and with a looming, strict show-curfew in the back of my mind), I bared my teeth like a mother wolf. I embarrassed the hell out of these two people, without truly knowing what the situation was. Then, as a group – all 25,000 of us or so – exiled these people from the show in record time.”
