Fashion, in many ways, has the power to communicate. Whether it’s to send a message that you’re happy, sad, or ready to party, fashion can do wonders in making your intentions and feelings crystal clear. For former television news anchor Casey DeSantis, the wife of Republican presidential candidateRon DeSantis, fashion has been a game-changer for her in their budding campaign trail. In addition to wearing outfits that exude an extra amount of elegance and poise perfect for a First Lady, Casey, who’s also a breast cancer survivor, has also used fashion to channel her idols, including Jackie Kennedy.
“She understands the image game and how to play it,” Republican strategist Ron Bonjean told The New York Times earlier this year. “How to maximize the levers of attention and the media.”
Kate Andersen Brower, author of First Women: The Grace and Power of America’s Modern First Ladies, also agreed, adding that she’s a “student” of not only Jackie but also of Melania Trump and Kate Middleton.
So, in her appearances over the years, there has been plenty of similarities between Casey and Jackie O. Find out all the times Casey was inspired by the late Jackie Kennedy below!
Big Occasion in Pink
Honored to attend the State of State today with Mason!
Our Governor has stood up for parents’ rights, worked tirelessly to help SWFL recover, and has never stopped fighting for freedom.
On behalf of a grateful state, thank you @GovRonDeSantis! pic.twitter.com/XAGwqmPDVm

At her husband’s State of State address earlier this year, Casey channeled Jackie in this Barbie pink dress with floral details paired with white gloves.
Jackie’s Pink Look
Jackie Kennedy also wore a pink showstopper dress when she received French Minister of ulture Andre Malraux with his wife Madeleine at the White House back in 1962.
Elegant in Mint
In 1986, Jackie wore this elegant mint green dress with white gloves at her daughter Caroline Kennedy’s wedding. Decades later, Casey wore the same color combo at Ron’s inauguration as Governor of Florida in January.
Bold in Blue
Much like Jackie, Casey also wore a full monochromatic soft blue look during a public appearance. Casey wore this blue dress and floral-embellished cape from Badgley Mischka in her meeting with the Japanese foreign minister in Tokyo in April. Jackie, for her part, wore her own blue look while meeting Prime Minister Nehru in New Delhi in 1962.
