Jack Schlossberg has been making a name for himself in political journalism for the past year but fans are dying to know more about her personal life after he posted a video hinted he recently broke up with a girlfriend, and an odd rant about Justin Baldoni amid It Ends With Us legal drama.
Born on Jan. 19, 1993 to parents Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, he was named John Bouvier “Jack” Kennedy Schlossberg at birth, a name that features nods to both his maternal grandparents, Jackie Bouvier Kennedy and John F. Kennedy, as well as his late-uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr. He is the couple’s youngest child and a little brother to sisters Tatiana Schlossberg and Rose Schlossberg, all of whom are often noted for their resemblance to their famous grandparents.
Schlossberg is a Yale University and Harvard Law School graduate who passed the bar in 2023. After dabbling in political commentary over the years, and generating a large following with his comedic and political TikTok videos, Schlossberg landed his biggest job to date in July 2024 when he was named a political correspondent for Vogue. The role, which began amid the 2024 presidential election cycle builds on Schlossberg’s already-established influence over Gen Z voters.
“Jack emerged as a staff favorite early on in this election cycle with his irreverent but intelligent takes on the political landscape,” editor Chloe Malle said in a statement via The New York Times. “We all know the stakes of this election and it is critical to Vogue that we do all we can to get our audience motivated to vote.”
“I am inspired by my family’s legacy of public service,” Schlossberg told Vogue that month. “I take that very seriously, and I want to contribute in my own way. I have big dreams, but I also know that I’m trying to make a positive impact today.”
Outside of his political commentary, Schlossberg is also an avid paddle-boarder, dog dad and told Vogue he started taking ballet classes in 2024.

He Is a Yale & Harvard Graduate, & a Lawyer
After graduating from Yale in 2015, Schlossberg enrolled in Harvard Law School in 2017 and Harvard Business School in 2018. On February 2022, he graduated from both earning a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration, People reported.
When asked about how his Harvard business and law degrees have shaped his political views, Schlossberg told Vogue: “It made me much more aware of every point of view and more open to other ways of thinking. I still have the same values I did when I got there, but my way of thinking is completely different.”
In April 2023, Schlossberg revealed that he passed the New York State Bar. “TFW passed the bar — Jake Cyborg, Esq!” he wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of him paddleboarding in New York City.
He’s Been Working for ‘Vogue’ Since 2024
Schlossberg began writing for Vogue ahead of the 2024 presidential election, covering topics from the Biden v. Trump debate to Supreme Court rulings. On July 18, he launched his “Jack Reacts” series on both Vogue.com and Vogue’s TikTok, which features the same quippy personality supporters will recognize from Schlossberg’s personal social media accounts.
“If you’re going to ask people to think about something serious, you need to make it entertaining or fun,” Schlossberg told Vogue of his approach to political commentary. “That’s what all the great leaders do. You can’t just hammer people with how bad stuff is. You’ve got to bring some positivity and good energy to the things you think are important. That’s the only strategy I have.”
Vogue isn’t Schlossberg’s first writing gig. According to E! Online, he used to write for the Yale Daily News and The Yale Herald while he was an undergraduate. In addition to the campus publications, Schlossberg has also written for Politico, The Washington Post and The New York Times.
He’s Also Known for His TikTok Videos
Schlossberg has cultivated something of a cult following among Gen Z thanks to his dancing videos on TikTok, his posts of his paddleboarding adventures and tongue-in-cheek singing videos that are scattered among his more political content.
“I’m just having a good time. I’m a fun, wacky guy. I’m a silly goose—a silly goose who’s trying, just trying, to get the truth out there,” he told Vogue.
Does Jack Schlossberg Have a Girlfriend?
On Dec. 1, Schlossberg hinted that he recently went through a breakup in a TikTok video saying, “Heartbreak sucks. Getting broken up with sucks.”
When asked about his relationship status in July, Schlossberg told Vogue: “no comment.” In August, Stylecasterreported that he has been seen on celebrity dating app Raya so is believed to be single.
Stylecaster notes that his last reported relationship was in 2022 with poet and influencer Orion Carloto.
He Previously Lived in Japan
Schlossberg, who primarily grew up in New York City, studied history with a concentration on Japanese history at Yale. After graduation, he moved to Japan in 2016, where his mother served at as the US Ambassador to Japan between 2013 and 2017.
There, Schlossberg worked as a staff assistant in the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, which is a part of the U.S. Department of State, and at Suntory Holdings Limited, a Japanese brewing company.
“I learned a lot about Japan. But the most important thing I learned was about my own country, Jack said in his speech at the JFK Profile In Courage Awards in 2017, per Hollywood Life.
“It was something I had been told all my life but never fully grasped. I saw how people around the world see America: a beacon of opportunity, stability and strength in a world of uncertainty. He Has a Strong Interest in Politics
Needless to say, Schlossberg’s family introduced him to politics at a young age. He told Vogue that his first memory of politics was in 2007 when his great uncle Senator Ted Kennedy asked him his thoughts on Democratic Candidate Barack Obama, who his mom and great-uncle endorsed in his successful presidential election.
“I felt so involved, so heard, so excited about politics, and felt that anything could happen and I could make a difference,” Schlossberg said.
He also told Vogue that his grandfather, JFK, is his “hero,” adding: “The first thing I ever got really nerdy about was him, his speeches, and his administration. It’s a blueprint for how progressivism can work in America and how America can lead the world in a positive, optimistic, science-driven way.”
In 2009 and 2010 he worked as a Senate page then-Senator John Kerry, before working as his intern in 2011. Schlossberg obviously made an impact and even got a shoutout from Kerry in a commencement address at his 2011 graduation from Collegiate high school in NYC.
“A sense of humor is not genetic, but apparently in the Kennedy family, it can be inherited,” Kerry said. “In President Kennedy’s grandson, Jack Schlossberg, this quality seems to abide.”
Schlossberg Is Openly Critical of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
In July 2023, Schlossberg criticized his mother’s cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in a video posted to his Instagram account. In the video, Schlossberg claimed RFK Jr. was “trading in on Camelot, celebrity, conspiracy theories and conflict for personal gain and fame.”
“I’ve listened to him. I know him,” he continued. “I have no idea why anyone thinks he should be president. What I do know is his candidacy is an embarrassment.”
In May 2024, Schlossberg escalated the feud with another series of Instagram videos in which he played characters with varied criticisms of RFK Jr., calling him “a prick,” accusing him of being a “hero of Russia” and criticizing his plans to do away with the Federal Reserve, per The New York Times.

In a really odd turn of events, Schlossberg went on a rant on X, the app formerly known as Twitter, talking about the legal trouble between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively.
He first tweeted, “I agreed to take on JUSTIN BALDONI as a client. Why ? FAIRNESS. EVERYONE is entitled to a FAIR TRIAL and ZEALOUS DEFENSE. Justin has NOTHING to hide, Justice will be his revenge. After BOSTON MASSACRE, John Adams represented the British at trial. Same s**t, different day.”
A day later, he added, “My personal feelings about Justin Baldoni are irrelevant. Justin is my client, I’m his lawyer. even the most heinous individuals have the right to counsel for their defense. I am not a hero. Im just doing my job.”
So, is he a part of Baldoni’s legal team? No, not at all, actually. Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, told DailyMail that Schlossberg isn’t a part of Baldoni’s team, nor has he even spoken to anyone on the team.
Schlossberg has yet to comment on this string of tweets, and fans are confused, to say the least.
