Whether you’re in a long-term relationship or a still in the honeymoon phase, everyone could use a little fun and excitement in their sex life here and there. And though most of us hear the idea of the iconic “mile-high club” and immediately think of overcrowded seats and tiny bathrooms, that might not always be the case. In fact, many of our favorite celebrities have had a sky-high love-making session and have lived to tell the tale. Kim Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, Christina Aguilera and Liam Neeson, for example, have all joined the club and, luckily for us, have some funny stories to share about the experience.

Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera has also admitted to getting steamy while flying during a 2023 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
“A plane can be fun, we’ve definitely hidden some things under the blankets when the seats are big enough,” she admitted. “I can’t believe we didn’t get caught so many times in so many situations. Thank the Lord.”
“On international flights, I turn the light off,” she continued. “There’s always room to get creative. I use blankets. You’ve got to wait til everyone’s like gone to sleep. It’s setting the mood.”
Drew Barrymore
A year after Aguilera’s confession, Drew Barrymore felt inspired to discuss her mile high experience when Aguilera appeared on her talk show.
“Doesn’t it feel wild?” Barrymore quizzed Aguilera. “Doesn’t it feel wild? It’s not the same. If you’re curious, like ‘why are people doing it?’ I’m telling you, elevation. It feels different.”
Barrymore previously confessed to joining the mile high club in a July episode of her show, saying, “Brazil to New York. American Airlines.”
Miranda Kerr
In 2014, former Victoria’s Secret angel Miranda Kerr admitted to some steamy moments up in the air. “I’ve had an orgasm in the air before,” she told GQ, per Vogue. “Alone. And together.”
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian has also admitted to being part of the exclusive club while doing a fan Q&A in her app, The Sun reports. “But like [a private plane],” she clarified. “I don’t think like a public plane…It would have to be an international flight. It was an international, night flight when no one’s like around.”
Chrissy Teigen & John Legend
Chrissy Teigen confessed to Cosmopolitan in 2014 that the most unusual place she had sex with her husband John Legend was on a plane. “We were on our way to Thailand to see my parents, flying commercial first-class,” she remembered. “We were under a blanket. We weren’t even in one of those pod things. I feel like we should get a trophy for that.”
Kris & Caitlyn Jenner
When they were still together, Kris and Caitlyn Jenner got adventurous on a plane once. “I was with [Caitlyn] on a commercial airliner in first class. We joined the Mile High Club and felt we got away with it. We had sex in the bathroom and we came out and nobody said anything,” the Kardashian momager told Cosmopolitan in 2015.
Kris continued, “At the end of the flight, the flight attendant got on the microphone, ‘Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Jenner! You’ve just joined the Mile High Club. We’re so proud of you, and we decided to give you a bottle of champagne! Yay!’
“I could not squish down in my seat low enough,” she added. “I was mortified.”
John Travolta & Kelly Preston
John Travolta and his late wife Kelly Preston also got steamy on a plane back when the actor owned a Learjet. “In my Learjet days, we joined the club,” the actor said. “I shut off the cockpit, let someone else fly.”
Liam Neeson
Taken star Liam Neeson admitted to being part of the club in the most nonchalant way. “I joined the mile-high club many years ago,” he told WENN in 2014, per Toronto Sun, before shouting out the airline. “Lufthansa.”
Jennifer Aniston
In a 2016 “Never Have I Ever” segment at The Ellen Show, Jennifer Aniston admitted to joining the mile-high club, and getting steamy with a pilot, a co-pilot, and a flight attendant. Soon after, however, Aniston admitted it was all a “goof.”
“First of all, that’s not much of anybody’s business and you know that was all a goof right?” she told E! Online.
Cara Delevingne
Cara Delevingne got candid about her on-air adventures while talking to her Suicide Squad co-star Margot Robbie for a 2016 issue of Love Magazine, per Evening Standard. “I’ve had sex in planes a lot. But I’ve always been caught. It’s super-hard not to get caught,” the model-turned-actress said.
She continued, “I had sex in the chair on the plane and there was a guy watching. We ended up telling the air stewardess what was happening. Like, ‘This guy keeps staring at us. Can you tell him to stop?'”
Janet Jackson
During a 2016 appearance on Tyra Banks’ talk show, Janet Jackson was asked about the weirdest place she’d done the deed in, singer Janet Jackson got candid. “On a plane – a commercial airplane,” she told the former model.
Ralph Fiennes
Back in 2007, a Qantas stewardess came out saying that she got fired after she had sex with actor Ralph Fiennes in the bathroom of a flight from Darwin to Bombay. “We did make love on the plane that night,” said Lisa Robertson, per Daily Mail. “At first I denied it because I was so desperate to keep my job and I didn’t want to hurt Ralph.”
“I don’t regret it,” she continued. “Ralph is gorgeous and the chemistry between us was amazing. What woman wouldn’t want to make love with him?”
Ellen DeGeneres
Throughout her years as the host of The Ellen Show, Ellen DeGeneres played the game “Never Have I Ever” with a number of her guests. In many of these games, she asked if they were a part of the mile-high club. Each time her guests replied with “I Have” or “I Have Never,” DeGeneres would coyly hold up the “I Have” sign herself.

Johnny Depp
Next to Paltrow was Johnny Depp, who also admitted to doing the deed in the air at some point.
Paul Bettany
And, also in the 2015 interview, next to Depp was Paul Bettany, who admitted to the exact same thing. Looks like the Mortdecai cast had more in common than we thought!
