Before Donald Trump was US President, and way before he became so controversial, you would often see him on your television. While many remember his time as a reality TV star, like producing The Apprentice and being seen as a guest on multiple popular shows, there are a lot more acting credits than you’d expect from him.
When you take a look at Trump’s IMDb page, you see he has 30 acting credits under his belt, with many of them being guest-starring roles as himself in hit shows like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Sex and the City, and even Days of Our Lives. However, he has way more film credits than most people know, and some of them in movies you’ve definitely watched.
Along with his TV career and the odd video game called Donald Trump’s Real Estate Tycoon, Trump has quite a bit of a film resume.
While his most famous film credit was for his brief role in the beloved Christmas filmHome Alone 2: Lost in New York, he has quite a few more cameos and small roles in films like Zoolanderand The Little Rascals.
Oftentimes, he would play himself, but there were a couple of times when he’d play a character you may have forgotten about.
Check out every single film credit Trump has, and who he played below:
‘Ghosts Can’t Do It’
Donald Trump’s first film role was in the 1989 film Ghosts Can’t Do It, where he played himself and said the dramatic line: “Be assured Mrs. Scott, that in this room, there are knives sharp enough to cut you to the bone. And hearts, cold enough to eat yours as hors d’oeuvre.”
‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’
Donald Trump’s most well-known cameo was when Macaulay Culkin asked him a question in the film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
‘The Little Rascals’
Remember when Donald Trump was in the 1994 film The Little Rascals? In case you need a reminder, he played Waldo’s father, making it one of the only times he didn’t play himself in a film or show.
‘Across the Sea of Time’
If you missed Donald Trump in Across the Sea of Time, that’s probably because you didn’t catch his low-key cameos throughout.
‘Eddie’
Back in 1996, Donald Trump played himself in the cameo for Eddie, saying, “Actually, hiring Eddie was my idea from the beginning.”
‘The Associate’
Donald Trump appeared in another Whoopi Goldberg movie in 1996 for the film The Associate.
’54’
If you don’t remember seeing Donald Trump’s cameo appearance, it’s probably because you didn’t see it in theaters. He played a VIP patron in the film 54, and apparently, the scene got cut in the DVD and “director’s cut.”
‘Zoolander’
Both Donald Trump and Melania Trump made a cameo during the runway scene in Zoolander.
‘Two Weeks Notice’
Yet again, Donald Trump played himself in the 2002 film Two Weeks Notice, and even had a conversation with Hugh Grant in one scene. However, in Oct 2024, Grant said on the Graham Norton Show that he doesn’t remember that scene at all.
“He played a bit part as himself in a romantic comedy I did with Sandra Bullock,” he said. “But the fact is that I don’t really remember him very well. The night he came, I had a bet with Sandy that I could make the chairman of Warner Bros. cry by 9 p.m. And I was completely focused on that. It’s quite a big bet. She didn’t believe I could do it, but I did it.”
‘Marmalade’
Donald Trump’s last film credit was for the film Marmalade, in another cameo.
