All the Incredible Looks Stars Wore at the 2023 Venice Film Festival

Before the start of the 2023 Venice Film Festival on August 30, publications and fans alike were confident this year’s film festival would see less stars hit the red carpet. After all, as part of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, actors and writers can’t attend any event in support for their AMPTP projects.

That being said, however, with the festival now in full-swing, more celebrities have hit the carpet than initially expected. Whether it’s to support a brand, like the guests who attended Giorgio Armani’s “One Night Only Venezia” fashion show, or to support productions who have been approved by SAG as part of the interim agreement, celebrities are hitting the carpet this year, and in great style too!

Talking to press at his upcoming movie’s photocall at the festival, Adam Driver spoke about being at the event amid the ongoing strikes. “I’m very happy to be here to support this movie, but also I’m very proud to be here, to be a visual representation of a movie that’s not a part of the AMPTP, and to promote the SAG leadership directive – which is an effective tactic – which is the interim agreement,” the Ferrari star said, per The Guardian.

“But the other objective is to say, why is it that a smaller distribution company like Neon and STX International can meet the dream demands of what SAG is asking for – this is pre-negotiation, the dream version of SAG’s wishlist – but a big company like Netflix and Amazon can’t?” Driver continued. “And every time people from SAG support a movie that has agreed to these terms, it just makes it more obvious that these people are willing to support the people they collaborate with, and the others are not.”
