Florence Pugh, Gemma Chan & More Stars Who Had a Glamorous Night Out at the Elle Style Awards

On September 5, right before the madness of New York Fashion Week begins on September 7, stars gathered across the pond in London for a glamorous night out at the 2023 Elle Style Awards. “It’s our moment to shine a light on the designers, actors, musicians and trailblazers of all kinds reimagining their industries in brave new ways and changing how we see the world,” the magazine details of the event.

During the star-studded night, which saw many of our favorites walk the carpet, British actors, musicians, designers and artists were honored with prestigious awards. Barbie and Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa was awarded the The Modern Pioneer Award, Florence Pugh won the The British Icon Award, Daisy Jones & The Six‘s Suki Waterhouse won the The Performer Award and the late Vivienne Westwood was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, among others.

“I am not an activist I am an advocate, and all I try to do is use my platform and lend my voice,” Gemma Chan, who was honored with The Changemaker Award, said in her speech. “Here’s to everyone trying to make this precarious world better,” she said at the end.
