This year’s Time100 Next Gala was a rare opportunity to see our favorite stars out in force amid ongoing actors’ strikes. Hosted by TIME Magazine, the gala honors 100 emerging leaders in fields from film to music and sports to politics.
Held in New York on October 24, the event celebrated 2023 honorees that included Hailey Bieber, Kelsea Ballerini, Ice Spice and Rachel Zegler, among numerous stars and many of them were in attendance.
At the gala, honorary tributes came from members of this year’s list, including actor Tyler James Williams, NASA Astronaut Victor J. Glover, actor Stephanie Hsu, and climate activist Xiye Bastida and advocate Dylan Brandt. Singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini offered a musical performance and TIME CEO Jessica Sibley as well as TIME Editor in Chief Sam Jacobs shared their remarks.
According to a press release, Sibley told audience members: “At TIME, we celebrate and recognize the most influential people around the world who are making an impact. Tonight, we are recognizing the Next generation of innovators and leaders who are making the extraordinary possible and pulling off the remarkable feat of reaching the top of their fields, with the potential to still do so much more.”

Tyler James Williams
Actor Tyler James Williams was one of the speakers of the night and praised his fellow honorees for their contributions.
“Everyone in this room, at some point or another, had to make a complicated choice to choose to do what they do uniquely. Inherently differently,” said Williams. “Being unique is not a choice. But choosing to authentically present your uniqueness is.”
Alex Newell
Alex Newell looks mezmerizing in this gold and black gown. The non-binary actor and singer, who was honored at the gala, has been vocal about breaking boundaries as a queer, Black star.
Kelsea Ballerini
The musical entertainment for the night, Kelsea Ballerini, wore this plunging cut-out gown with silver braided detailing.

Ballerini was joined by her boyfriend and Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes for a very classy date night.
Abbi Jacobson, Mae Martin & Bella Ramsey
