Age gaps are a heated debate these days and we’re by no means trying to advocate for pursuing relationships with much younger people. Often age gaps can create an unhealthy power imbalance as well as just being simply impractical — seriously, what do some of these large age gap couples have in common?

Kate Hudson
Looking at Kate Hudson’s dating history, it’s clear that the singer and actress doesn’t really have a type, she’s dated men who are much older than her (like her first husband Chris Robinson) and much younger too.
In 2015, for example, Hudson reportedly dated Nick Jonas, who is 14 years younger than her, for a few months. “Kate’s incredible,” Jonas told Complex in 2016. “We had an unbelievable connection as two humans who just admire things about each other, and see something in each other that’s beautiful. Out of my best effort to respect her and her privacy, I’m not going to say if we had sex or not. But we did have a beautiful connection. Even now I have so much admiration and respect. She’s amazing.”
In March 2017, Hudson then started dating her current partner, Danny Fujikawa, who is seven years younger than her.
On Oct. 2, 2018, the pair welcomed their first child together, Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa. In 2021, they got engaged. They’ve yet to tie the knot!
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian got some backlash back in October 2021 when she was spotted dating Pete Davidson, who was 13 years younger than her. The pair then defied everyone’s expectations and dated for nine months before calling it quits.
Almost a year after her breakup with Davidson, Kardashian dated Odel Beckham Jr., who is 12 years younger than the reality show star. The two broke up in May 2024.
Cher
77-year-old Cher first stepped out with music producer Alexander “A.E.” Edwards in November 2022. Despite their 40-year age gap, the pair reportedly called it quits in May 2023.
The iconic singer previously dated musician Richie Sambora, who is 13 years younger than her, and the late Ron Zimmerman, who was 12 years her junior.
Kris Jenner
Kris Jenner has been dating 42-year-old Corey Gamble since 2014. Gamble is younger than Jenner’s two oldest daughters, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian.
However, their 25-year age gap is not her first time dating someone younger. Jenner admitted in her memoir that she cheated on her first husband, Robert Kardashian, with a man 9 years younger than her when she was in her early 30s.
Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey is 12 years older than her first husband, Nick Cannon, and the presenter even admitted to having posters of his future wife on his walls back when he was a preteen.
She’s been dating choreographer Bryan Tanaka, who is 14 years younger than her, since 2016.
Heidi Klum
Heidi Klum been in many relationship with large age gaps, including several where she was the much younger partner.
She shares daughter Leni with Flavio Briatore, a man 23 years her senior, and went on to marry Seal, who is 10 years older than her.
However, after their split, Klum went on to date Vito Schnabel, 13 years her junior, and is now married to Tom Kaulitz.
She got candid about their 16-year age gap in 2018, saying she doesn’t think about their age gap all that often.
“That’s really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it. I don’t really think about it that much otherwise.” Klum added, “You have to just live a happy life without worrying too much about what people think because worrying is only going to give you more wrinkles.”
Kathy Griffin
62-year-old Kathy Griffin is 18 years older than her husband, Randy Bick, and was 10 years older than her previous husband, Matt Moline.
Madonna-1
In 2000, Madonna married British director Guy Ritchie, who is 10 years younger than her, and since their 2008 split the age gaps in her relationships has only increased.

46-year-old Shakira ended her 10 year relationship with Gerard Piqué, 36, in 2022 and since then has been linked to several other younger men.
She has been linked to 34-year-old NBA star Jimmy Butler and 38-year-old F1 driver Lewis Hamilton.
Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen DeGeneres is 15 years older than wife Portia de Rossi.
Prior to meeting de Rossi, DeGeneres was in a 3 year relationship with actress Anne Heche, who was 11 years her junior.
Demi Moore
Demi Moore caused quite a stir when she began dating, and later married, Ashton Kutcher back in 2011. Moore talked about their 15-year age gap in her 2011 memoir. “He was 25. I was 40,” Moore recalled. “But I’m telling you: we couldn’t feel it. We were totally in sync from our very first conversation.”
Prior to their marriage, Moore dated martial arts Oliver Whitcomb instructor for three years. He was seven years younger than her which is nothing crazy but it did start a pattern for the Ghost actress.
After splitting from Kutcher in 2011, Moore was briefly linked to Dead Sara drummer, Sean Friday, who was 25 years younger than her and just two years older than her firstborn, Rumer Willis.
