Having co-stars fall in love is one of those instances of Hollywood magic. We’ve seen it time and time again: they meet, work together, fall in love, and live happily ever after. Kutcher and Kunis originally met on the set of That 70s Show when she was 14, and he 20. While they played on-screen lovers for years, they had a close friendship that lasted for decades. They were in serious relationships for years before getting together in 2012. And the rest is history.

They were one of the most beloved couples in Hollywood, despite some divisive parenting decisions throughout the years. August 23, 1998: Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis Meet as Castmates for ‘That ‘70s Show’
Long before they were romantically involved, they were co-stars. Back in 1998, they met to start filming the hit show That 70s Show. Kunis played the role of Jackie Burkhart, a spoiled rich kid who has an on-again, off-again relationship with Kutcher’s character, Michael Kelso, a rather simple-minded teenage boy.
When filming first started, Kunis was 14 and Kutcher was 20, which later sparked outrage.
Kunis later talked about how Kutcher was both her first on-screen kiss, and first kiss ever.
In 2001, Kunis told PEOPLE: “I was like, ‘Oh, he’s so cute, it’s the Calvin Klein model!’ Then I was like, ‘I have to kiss him?’ I was so nervous and uncomfortable. I had the biggest crush on him.”
May 31, 2008: Reunited at the 7th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball
Two years after That 70s Show ended, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher reunited on the red carpet on May 31, 2008, for the 7th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball, an event that honors a Chrysalis client for their achievement in creative ventures.
At this time, they were with different people, with Kunis still dating Macaulay Culkin and Kutcher being married to Demi Moore.
December 2011: Both Have Split Up From Their Respective, Longtime Partners

Fast forward a bit to Jan 15, 2012, and the pair reunited at the Golden Globes (but this time, there was a spark)!
During a later appearance on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast, Kunis recounted what she was feeling that day. “I was looking around, and there was a really beautiful man from the back. I was literally like, ‘Oh, he’s kinda hot’ … and then he turned around, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, it’s Kutch,'” she said. “I thought it was the weirdest thing that I was checking this guy out, and it was someone that I had known forever.”
January 2012: Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis Start Casually Dating
Right after that encounter, they started casually dating. Both Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have talked about how they were hanging out one night (because Kutcher wanted to set her up with one of his friends), and then they kissed. Kunis later recounted that they had a more physical relationship at first, and were casually dating (including smooching it up at basketball games).

However, their romance quickly became serious because, within months of catching up at the Golden Globes, they decided to move in together. Kunis recounted that Kutcher was the one to ask her to move in with him after a serious conversation about their feelings for one another.

Ashton Kutcher revealed on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast in 2018 that he and Mila Kunis won’t be giving their kids an inheritance from their $275 million inheritance. “I’m not setting up a trust for them. We’ll end up giving our money away to charity and to various things.” He added his children are already “living a really privileged life and they don’t even know it.”

In the news was first reported by Time, Kutcher sent a letter to Thorn’s board on Sept 14 saying how “the responsible thing for me to do is resign as Chairman of the Board, effectively immediately.”
Kutcher stepped down as Chairman of the Board, and Kunis stepped down from her position as an observer on the organization’s board.
