The Crown Star Meg Bellamy Looks So Like Kate Middleton in These Side-By-Side Photos & We Can’t Get Over It

Meg Bellamy’s resemblance to Kate Middleton is paying off thanks to her role in the final season of The Crown playing a younger version of the Princess of Wales.

When we first saw the photos of Bellamy, 21, on set of the hit Netflix show playing a college-age Middleton opposite Ed McVey, who plays Prince William, we were a little slack-jawed. Bellamy looks strikingly similar to how a now 41-year-old Middleton looked when she first became a household name after embarking on a romance with the future King of England in the early 2000s.

The early years of the couple’s romance will take center stage in the final season of The Crown. The show follows William as he attempts to continue his life after his mother’s death — a plot central to the first part of season 6. The Crown will also depict his time at University of St. Andrews, where he met his now wife.

The logline for the finale, which premiere on December 15, reads: “Prince William (McVey) tries to integrate back into life at Eton in the wake of his mother’s death as the monarchy has to ride the wave of public opinion. As she reaches her Golden Jubilee, the Queen (Imelda Staunton) reflects on the future of the monarchy with the marriage of Charles (Dominic West) and Camilla (Olivia Williams) and the beginnings of a new Royal fairytale in William and Kate (Bellamy).”

While the Royal family has done their best to avoid any association with the hit series that dramatizes their lives, Bellamy has been full of praise for Middleton. The actress, who is a newcomer to the acting scene, recently gushed about her during the series finale premiere in London on December 5.

“What makes people connect to her is her personability,” Bellamy toldVariety. “She’s so approachable, and I think that’s a great energy to have. She’s never flustered.”

Here are all the times Kate Middleton and Meg Bellamy looked exactly alike.
