When the original Mean Girls movie came out in 2004, it became an instant classic in popular culture. And, in addition to many of its lines becoming a part of everyday life, like “fetch” or “on Wednesdays we wear pink,” the movie was also adapted into a Broadway musical in 2018. Fast-forward a few years later, Cady, Regina, Gretchen and Karen are set for another adventure in the movie musical Mean Girls, set to hit theaters on Jan. 12.
Starring in the movie is Reneé Rapp, who originated Regina George’s role on Broadway, Angourie Rice, Avantika Vandanapu, Bebe Wood, Busy Philipps, Tina Fey, Jon Hamm, and many others. In honor of the big premiere, stars of the new movie, and stars of the original hit, all joined in New York City for the premiere.
