Something we truly love to see every single time it happens is one of Brooke Shields’ daughters recreating one of their mom’s iconic fashion moments.
Shields, and her husband of over 20 years Chris Henchy, are proud parents to daughters Rowan Francis Henchy, born in 2003, and Grier Hammond Henchy, born in April 2006, and ever since they could, they’ve honored their mother in such stylish ways.
Over the years, we’ve seen both Grier and Rowan channel their mother’s style at red-carpet events or even at the prom. While Grier has actually worn some of Shields’ vintage pieces, Rowan decides to recreate her mother’s fashion with her own closet staples.
In a 2023 interview with People, the SheMedia Whole Life Health speaker said that while her children honor her by emulating her fashion, Shields revealed that her daughters adore her in edgy clothes.
“They don’t like me in Upper East Side lady clothes — all of my Today show wardrobe, whenever I hosted any show,” she said. “They don’t like that; they like me much edgier,” she adds.

At the 17th annual CNN Heroes event in 2023, Brooke Shields’ daughter Grier borrowed her mom’s strapless black Richard Tyler gown that Shields originally wore in 2006 at the Carousel of Hope Ball.
