Awards season never truly dies in Hollywood. While the Oscars may be long over, the many, many other award ceremonies have been going on throughout the year, including the Daytime Emmy Awards.
Ever since 1974, the Daytime Emmy Awards have been a staple red carpet event and awards ceremony in the entertainment world. It is an esteemed evening to recognize outstanding achievements in television programming.
This year, Dick Van Dyke made history by being the oldest actor to win a Daytime Emmy at 98 years old for his guest appearance on Days of Our Lives. Along with that, Kelly Clarkson won the award for Daytime Talk Series for The Kelly Clarkson Show, Ina Garten won Culinary Series, and Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa won the Daytime Talk Series Host award for Live With Kelly and Mark; to name a few highlights of the night.
