There’s no doubt that The Voice Season 12 finalists Chris Blue, Jesse Larson, Aliyah Moulden and Lauren Duski are extremely talented — but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll move on to legendary musical careers.
As history has proven, some winners from the show have enjoyed more success than others. Here’s what all the past champs have been up to since their time on The Voice.

Javier Colon
Original champ Javier Colon parted ways with Universal Republic Records just a year after winning The Voice. He is now aligned with Concord Records, and in 2016 released Gravity, his first full-length album in five years.
Jermaine Paul
Jermaine Paul was arguably already a success before he won The Voice, but the show gave his career a further boost. In the past, his tour schedule was largely dependent on Alicia Keys, but now, he is able to perform when and where he pleases.
However, he has still yet to announce his own studio album since winning.
Cassadee Pope
The first female winner of The Voice, Cassadee Pope has toured with the likes of Dierks Bentley and Tim McGraw. She was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance in 2017 for her duet “Think of You” with Chris Young.
In Feb. 2017 she announced her engagement to Rian Dawson, the drummer for All Time Low.
Danielle Bradbery
Country crooner Danielle Bradbery was signed to Big Machine Records the day after she won The Voice. She released her self-titled debut album a few months later.
She has toured with Miranda Lambert and Scotty McCreery. In late 2015, she released the sassy single “Friend Zone” and is rumored to have her second studio album in the works.
Tessanne Chin
Tessanne Chin performed at the White House in early 2014, and, a few months later, made her major label debut with Count On My Love. In 2015, she performed at the Daytime Emmy Awards and at the National Memorial Day concert.
She also released a chart-topping single in 2016 title “Love Suicide.”
Josh Kaufman
Josh Kaufman quickly transitioned from reality star to Broadway star when he hit the stage for the 2014 revival of Pippin.
Kaufman also released a self-titled EP in 2016.
Craig Wayne Boyd
Craig Wayne Boyd signed with Dot Records, but his relationship with the record label did not end well. The same can be said for his single “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face,” which debuted at the top of Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart and then almost immediately fell off.
Still, he has high hopes and intends to continue recording new music. He also has a couple performances scheduled for summer 2017.
Sawyer Fredericks
Shortly after he won The Voice, Sawyer Fredericks signed a contract with Republic Records and released a self-titled EP. He’s since ended his relationship with Republic and released a second album titled A Good Storm in 2016.
His thid album, Hide Your Ghost, is rumored to be on the way and Fredericks plans to tour North America through Aug. 2017.
Jordan Smith
Jordan Smith is The Voice‘s biggest success story to date. Immediately after his Season 10 victory, he released his album Something Beautiful and became the first artist to ever have the top two spots concurrently on Billboard‘s Christian Songs chart.
He married his longtime girlfriend in June 2016 and released a holiday album in Oct. 2016 produced by David Foster.
Alisan Porter
Alisan Porter made history when she won The Voice alongside a female coach. She is excited to eventually release a record with Universal Music Group.
She released a single titled “Deep Water” in April 2017.
Sundance Head
Sundance Head just won Season 11 last December, but he’s had a busy couple months since. He signed with Republic Records in February and headed out on Blake Shelton’s Doing It to Country Songs tour in February and March.
He also recorded a single with country legend Buddy Cannon, with whom he is also collaborating on an album with.
