The Voice has yet to produce a Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson… perhaps because these amazing singers didn’t win.
Vicci Martinez
Vicci Martinez lost the inaugural season of The Voice to Javier Colon, but she’s arguably since enjoyed far greater commercial success.
Juliet Simms
The only female to make the finals during Season 2, Juliet Simms has since accomplished quit a bit, despite her runner-up status. She was most notably a constant presence at the 2015 Warped Tour.
Lindsey Pavao
Lindsey Pavao somehow failed to score a spot in the finals for The Voice Season 2. Too bad, because she was one of the season’s most unique and refreshing contestants.
Erin Willett
Not only did Erin Willett fail to snag a victory on The Voice, she also was booted from The Biggest Loser.
Melanie Martinez
Quirky vocalist Melanie Martinez surely would have benefited from the marketing efforts that accompany a win on The Voice. Even without that marketing push, she’s made a name for herself with such songs as “Pity Party” and “Carousel.”
Nicholas David
CeeLo Green still maintains that Nicholas David should have won The Voice. Many outraged fans agree.
Michelle Chamuel
Season 4 winner Danielle Bradbery was talented, but definitely not as interesting as runner-up Michelle Chamuel.
Christina Grimmie
Adam Levine was very, very disappointed when Christina Grimmie failed to beat out Josh Kaufman, but he made it clear that he intended to sign her to his label.
Matt McAndrew
Matt McAndrew sadly did not win Season 7 of The Voice, but he did enjoy some major iTunes and Billboard success with his single “Wasted Love.”
Chris Jamison
Matt McAndrew wasn’t the only deserving artist to fall short of a win during Season 7. Viewers were also very disappointed by Chris Jamison’s failure to snag the top spot.
Meghan Linsey
Meghan Linsey never really had a chance when she went up against Season 8 fan favorite Sawyer Fredericks, but she arguably has a better shot at commercial success.
