For Valentine’s Day, we’re giving a special shoutout to the longest celebrity relationships that prove that it is possible to find true love in Hollywood.
Stars like Samuel L. Jackson and his wife LaTanya, and supermodel Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber are in some of the longest marriages in the world of celebrities but, even beyond those lovebirds, this list is long and vast — and we’re rooting for every single one of them.
Not to be dramatic but the fall of a lengthy Hollywood marriage never gets easier on us regular folk. Remember the shock you felt when Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness ended their marriage after 27 years? Yes, us too!
So, when a beloved Hollywood couple does stand the test of time, we’re all the more grateful — and you might be surprised just how many celebrity couples have defied the odds and made it work. In fact, taking a look at this list, we’re convinced more than ever that some star couples are meant to be.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, David and Victoria Beckham, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Hall, and Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have all been married for 20+ years, and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t look to them for relationship guidance. And while they all say similar things — open communication, patience, effort — it seems like there’s really one key factor. These couples are just as head-over-heels for each other now as they were the day they met, and even Hollywood can’t fake that kind of magic.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick met on the set of PBS’ adaptation of Lemon Sky and got married on September 4, 1988 . In an interesting twist and basically the ultimate six degrees of Kevin Bacon: Kyra and Kevin discovered they are ninth cousins once removed when they explored their genealogy on Finding Your Roots.
They have two kids together: Travis, born in 1989, and Sosie, born in 1992.
George & Brad Takei, 40 Years
Star Trek actor George Takei and his husband Brad have been together since the 80s but kept their relationship hidden for almost 20 years. They met in a gay running club in 1984 and it was Takei who made the first move after he asked Altman to help him train for a marathon – little did they know love was also on a marathon course.
They became one of the first couples to obtain a marriage license after the California State Supreme Court overturned the ban on same-sex marriages in 2008. They also became the first openly gay couple to compete on The Newlywed Game in 2009.
Takei is proud of their successful Hollywood relationship, telling Out in New Jersey, “It really isn’t a secret,” he shared. “In any marriage, there is give and take. At first, there is lust, and it turns into love, then it turns into comfort, especially when you have been together for 33 years. For those who don’t know, Mädchen Amick married her boyfriend of 8 years David Alexis back in Dec 1995. They later welcomed two children son Sylvester Time Amick-Alexis, born in July 1992 and daughter Mina Tobias Amick-Alexis (known professionally as Mina Tobias), born in Sept 1993.
So, wh8ile they’ve been married for nearly 30 years, they’ve been together for nearly 40!
Angela Bassett & Courtney B. Vance, 30 Years
Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance met while attending the Yale School of Drama together back in the 80s. But despite Bassett being impressed by Vance, he had a girlfriend at the time.
In 1994, they reunited in L.A. and sparks began flying and they married three years later. “What I really loved so much about him was how supportive and engaging he is of everyone,” Bassett remembered to People in March. “That’s something that really sort of opened my eyes, and I went from friend to being enamored with him in a different kind of way.”
The pair started dating in 1994, got engaged in 1996 and tied the knot in 1997. They welcomed their twins Bronwyn Golden and Slater Josiah in January 2006.
“From the beginning, he was always just a very supportive partner and he continues to be to this day,” Bassett gushed about her hubby to People. “And our communication continues to be strong, But it always comes back to, he’s always been thoughtful about me. His core burns pure.”
Raúl & Colman Domingo, 19 Years
Rustin star Colman Domingo made us swoon when he shared the story of how he met his husband, Raúl Domingo, back in 2005 before they married in 2014.
Sharing their love story at The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in 2022, the Oscar-nominated actor said they saw each other for the first time after a chance encounter outside of Walgreens.
“A few days later, I’m on Craigslist trying to buy a used computer to help with my writing. I went to the home screen and you know, they have ‘missed connections’ things like ads, so I would read them because I’m a romantic. I go to the second page of missed connections and it said, ‘Saw you outside of Walgreens, Berkeley,’” Domingo remembered, per Harper’s Bazaar.
Domingo immediately responded, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
JoAnna Garcia & Nick Swisher, 15 Years
Sweet Magnolias star JoAnna Garcia Swisher met her husband, former baseball player Nick Swisher, when starred in Gossip Girl in 2009.
“So when I first got asked to do Gossip Girl, I thought ‘Who doesn’t want to go spend the summer in New York City making out with Chace Crawford?'” Garcia Swisher joked to SheKnowsin August. “But plot twist, I ended up making out, well I did make out with Chase Crawford onscreen, but I made out with my husband because this is where I met Nick.”
“I met Nick probably a couple of days into coming to New York City to film Gossip Girl,” she added.
The two got married a year later in 2010 and have since welcomed daughters Emerson Jay, born in 2013, and Sailor Stevie, born in 2016.
Pink & Carey Hart, 23 Years
Pink met her match when she met former motocross competitor Carey Hart in 2001 at the Summer X Games. After going strong for two years, however, they broke up for a while only to reunite a year later in 2004. In 2008, they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Costa Rica. They split once again in 2008, only to call off their separation a year later.
They welcomed their daughter Willow in 2011 and son Jameson in 2016.
In July 2024, the “So What” singer shared a sweet birthday tribute to her hubby.
“Happy Birthday to this beautiful, patient, loving, willing, adventurous, fearless, forgiving, loyal, frustrating, sarcastic, gorgeous, humongous heart of a man,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’ve known you since you were 26! Now you’re 12! No matter how many times life throws you to the ground, breaks you off or just simply tries to break you, you get back up, dust yourself off, and become better. Michelle Pfeiffer & David E. Kelley, 31 Years
When Michelle Pfeiffer first met her husband, David E. Kelley, she didn’t think much of it. After all, all her previous blind dates hadn’t gone too well in the past. “I did a bad thing, so it was a blind date and I decided it should be a group date,” Pfeiffer remembered in The Drew Barrymore Show. “We didn’t speak the whole night.”
Shortly after, however, Kelley gave it another go and called her up. Luckily this time, she gave him her full attention.
Just a few months later, they tied the knot in Nov. 1993.
Two months after they met, Pfeiffer adopted her daughter, Claudia Rose. Shortly after Pfeiffer and Kelley’s wedding, he too adopted Claudia. They also welcomed their son John Henry in 1994.
Jack Fisk & Sissy Spacek, 51 Years
Actress Sissy Spacek met her longtime husband production designer Jack Fisk on set for the 1973 movie Badlands. On April 12, 1974, they tied the knot in a private ceremony in Santa Monica, California.
“My husband is such a wonderful artist,” Spacek gushed over her husband to Esquire in 2022. “He’s phenomenal, and I learned so much from him about the artist’s life, and about work, and what it involves, and how much you have to give. You have to give everything up and be focused when you’re working. We’ve shared that.”
Milla Jovovich & Paul W.S. Anderson, 22 Years
Milla Jovovich and Paul W.S. Anderson are a match made in Hollywood heaven. Like many couples on this list, they first met while working together on set. In 2002, Jovovich was directed by Anderson on the first Resident Evil film.
The couple got married in 2009 and have welcomed three daughters together: Ever, born in 2007, Dashiel, born in 2015, and Osian, born in 2020.
Ben & Erin Napier, 20 Years
HGTV stars Ben and Erin Napier teach viewers much more than just home construction and renovations on their show, Home Town, they teach them all about a loving, caring relationship too!
They first met at the University of Mississippi on December 7, 2004. Six days into meeting each other, they were already exchanging “I love you.”

If you’ve seen some of Matthew Vaughn’s movies like Kingman or Kick-Ass, then you’re probably aware of his fun, action-packed movies. You might not be aware, however, that he’s been married to supermodel Claudia Schiffer since 2002.
The pair first met at a Los Angeles dinner party and their connection was as natural as can be.
“I’d never found anyone that perfect and I just thought, oh, there’s no perfect man out there. Then I met him,” Schiffer told The Guardian. “He had everything I wanted in a man. He completely swept me off my feet. We are so similar in many ways. We got on like a house on fire from the minute we met. It was really natural.”

Jeff Bridges met now-wife Susan Bridges in 1975 in Montana. He was filming Rancho Deluxe in Paradise Valley; Susan was working as a waitress.

The actor has been married now for 43 years and says his secret is mutual respect. “We are quite different as people, and we celebrate that rather than making it drive us apart,” the 70-year-old actor told People of his relationship with Susan. “I’ve really been blessed.”

Country music’s favorite couple! Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have been together since 1996, ending their previous relationships after they fell for each other on tour. They married in 1996.
While there have been rumors of marriage trouble in the past, Hill and McGraw have kept their relationship out of public scrutiny and seem to be going strong.
They have three daughters together: Audrey Caroline, Gracie Katherine, and Maggie Elizabeth.

Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham have been together since 1986. They were set to be married in 1993, but postponed the wedding because Oprah’s new book deal overshadowed the planning. They never discussed marriage after that, but they’ve been together for 30+ years and are basically married in every other way.
RuPaul & Georges LeBar, 30 Years
Georges LeBar and RuPaul have only been married since 2017 but we’re guessing that might have something to do with the fact that same-sex marriage wasn’t legalized in the US until 2015.
So, we’re giving them full credit for their lasting union which began in 1994. The couple have a somewhat unique marriage in that they don’t live together full-time and they practice ethical non-monogamy.
