Who will Nick Viall choose to spend his life with? The Bachelor contestant bios are rather revealing.
Alexis: Aspiring dolphin trainer
The Seacaucus, New Jersey, native is pretty terrified of E.T. the alien (same, Alexis. Same). Alexis also counts Titanic and Good Will Hunting among her favorite movies.
Angela: Model
After going on a date with a guy who once put down a reservation under the name “Batman” (yikes), it’s Angela’s hope to actually settle down, get married and have children. She says the most impulsive thing she’s ever done was move over 500 miles from home to pursue a modeling career; it should come as no surprise she’s taking a big leap of faith by appearing on The Bachelor.
Astrid: Plastic surgery office manager
Astrid, who hails from Tampa, absolutely loves Scandal and, of course, Olivia Pope (how can you not love Olivia?). This may be the Florida girl in her speaking, but if she could be any animal, she’d want to be a dolphin so she “could rescue lost sailors and swim in the ocean doing tricks.”
Briana: Surgical unit nurse
Briana can’t live without lip balm or coffee, both crucial survival tools when you live in Utah. She also loves to watch Friends and never gets tired of rewatching old episodes. Now, crucial question: Is she more of a Monica or a Rachel?
Brittany: Travel nurse
Brittany may end up channeling the power of the woman she admires most, Beyoncé, during her time on The Bachelor. “She is a strong, sexy, independent woman who can sing and dance like no other,” she states in her bio, and she is so right. Interestingly, Brittany also has a serious phobia of snakes but loves camping, so if Nick decides to take her on a one-on-one date, he’ll have to plan carefully.
Christen: Wedding videographer
Christen is one to watch, but that’s a good thing. When asked what fruit or vegetable she would want to be if given the chance, she happily noted, “A grapefruit! They’re sweet and sour. Ha! They’re colorful. They smell great. And they’re so full of life and energy. That’s me. And you have to peel them back to get to the good stuff.” What will we find when we get to know Christen better?
Corinne: Business owner
Corinne seems to be one of the women in the new lineup who shouldn’t be judged by her looks alone. She runs her own online business, loves watching Frasier and stated that if she could be any animal, she would be a cheetah because “they’re strong and fierce.” Could she get the final rose?
Danielle L.: Small business owner
Danielle L. is all about the romantic dramas when it comes to selecting her favorite movies. She lists The Notebook, Love Actually and A Walk to Remember as a few of her faves. But it’s not just true love in the movies that speaks to Danielle L.; she also admires it IRL. As she puts it: “I admire Chrissy Teigen. She’s gorgeous, strong-willed and unapologetically herself. She and John Legend are couple goals!”
Danielle M.: Neonatal nurse
When she’s not busy kicking butt caring for newborns, Danielle M. is rebuilding her life after moving to Nashville. While she comes to The Bachelor in a bit of a tender place after her fiancé passed away, something tells me her strength will shine through with Nick. Bonus: She adores Hermione Granger, and any woman who loves Hermione is a woman worth cheering on.
Dominique: Restaurant server
If Dominique could have dinner with three people, living or deceased, she would choose her “grandfather, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jesus — and we’d be eating burritos from Chipotle.” Solid, solid choice, Dominique. It’s also very telling that Dominique would choose to be a pineapple if she could be any fruit or vegetable. The way she sees it, “they’re hard on the outside but sweet on the inside.” So is that the key Nick needs to woo her?
Elizabeth, ‘Liz’: Doula
A self-identified Belieber, Liz considers her greatest achievement to be “helping my sister birth my niece, Grace. I got to be her doula and cut her umbilical cord.” That is, without a doubt, the coolest thing I have ever heard.
Elizabeth W.: Marketing manager
Elizabeth hails from Dallas, Texas, and loves Finding Nemo. She is also a total fan of Game of Thrones and likes to live her life in an organized but messy fashion. This speaks to me on a very real level and, given this information, I am honestly so interested to see what Elizabeth is like on The Bachelor.
Hailey: Photographer
Hailey is going to bring her depthless Canadian charm to The Bachelor; bring it on, girl! While she likes ’90s rock and hip-hop in general, she loves Sheryl Crow. She considers herself to be an independant, adventurous and caring individual, so it makes sense that her favorite author is someone who is full of life: Dr. Seuss.
Ida Marie: Sales manager
Ida Marie might just win the Best Snack Award (if there was one to be won) because she loves noshing on Cheetos with pickles. She also says that she would love to be Selena Gomez for just one day, but why? “I can’t sing to save my life, so to belt out a tune for a crowd would be awesome.”
Jaimi: Chef
Jaimi has catered the Oscars and she’s crowdsurfed, which means this woman is absolutely full of surprises. The New Orleans native classifies her diet as “pesco-pollo-lacto-ovo-paro-tarian,” but she simplifies it as “just fish and birds, plus byproducts.”
Jasmine B.: Flight attendant
Jasmine B. considers Steve Harvey to be her favorite author because of the relationship advice he dishes out. Interestingly, she would prefer if a man pursued her (are you listening, Nick Viall?) because “a man who pursues me gives me assurance that I’m what he wants.”
Jasmine G.: Pro-basketball dancer
Jasmine G. might have the best imaginary dinner party guest list on the planet: RuPaul, Dave Chappelle, Prince. That, my friends, is a heck of a squad by any stretch of the imagination. She also has an affinity with strong women like Olivia Pope from Scandal and, adorably, her own mother. She says that the former is “such a power woman. Great job. Boss lady,” while the latter “has given up [everything] for me to be where I am is just unreal. I never met someone who works that hard.”
Josephine: Unemployed nurse
Josephine used to perform in high school musicals and still misses performing from time to time. She also admires her brother, who she says “has been my greatest inspiration, best friend and biggest motivator in life.”
Kristina: Dental hygienist
Kristina loves Meryl Streep because “she can adapt to any character assigned and do a wonderful job fulfilling that role.” You gotta love a girl who loves Meryl Streep; that’s just a universal rule. Kristina is doubly cool, too, because she loves watching Ninja Warrior and she designs her own clothes. I mean, how great is that?
Lacey: Digital marketing manager
Lacey would love to grab a burger and fries with Shakespeare, J.K. Rowling and Joe Jonas… Uh, can I join in on that dinner party? That sounds amazing. She also lists her fave films as Step Brothers, Armageddon and Wedding Crashers.
Lauren: Law school graduate
Lauren considers herself a country gal who is ready to settle down in the next five years. She considers herself a giver and cannot live without without sushi, music or her family. She also loves rock formations, so she would love to take a trip to the Grand Canyon or Utah.
Michelle: Food truck owner
Even though she’s a native English speaker, Michelle is also fluent in Portuguese. She would love to have dinner with Albus Dumbledore, Gwen Stefani and Princess Diana and would probably cook up the three courses she thinks suits each of her guests best: Sunday roast for Dumbledore, tacos for Stefani and fish and chips for Princess Di.
Olivia: Apparel sales representative
The most outrageous thing Olivia has ever done — besides appearing on The Bachelor — was auditioning to be the kicker for her high school football team (she got the gig, too). She is also a hopeless romantic and loves reading Nicholas Sparks novels to feed that fire.
Rachel: Attorney
Rachel considers her greatest achievement to date to be passing the bar exam, which paved the way for her career as an attorney. But it’s not all serious: She also loves listening to Justin Bieber and ’90s music, and she loves Michelle Obama.
Raven: Fashion boutique owner
If Raven could be someone else for just one day, it would have to be Blue Ivy: “Who doesn’t want to be the child of Jay Z and Beyoncé?” Raven also loves watching either Uptown Girls, Step Brothers or Bridesmaids.
Sarah: Grade school teacher
The California native considers herself socially Democratic but economically Republican. While she keeps it balanced politically, she has also been prone to induging her wild, impulsive side, as was the case in signing up for The Bachelor. You’ve also gotta give her big props because her fictional role models are all powerful women: Meredith Grey, Olivia Pope and Carrie Bradshaw. Heck yes.
Susannah: Account manager
Susannah loves intense, thrilling movies like Titanic, Avatar and Inglourious Basterds. She considers her guiltiest pleasure to be shopping for shoes and her greatest achievement to date to be flying to Europe on a whim with a friend.
Taylor: Mental health counselor
Taylor considers Seattle to be the most romantic city because she calls it home (what’s more filled with love than the place you call home, right?) and considers her three best attributes to be loyalty, transparency and honesty. The most outrageous thing she’s ever done is go streaking. Do you think she’d do it again on The Bachelor?
Vanessa: Special education teacher
This Montreal export speaks French and Italian fluently. She considers her biggest phobias to be sharks and bees — that’s so relatable, right? — but is most confident that her best attributes are her personality and her patience.
Whitney: Pilates instructor
Whitney loves sports, counting golf, hockey and football among her favorites. She lives life with no regrets and defines married life as “loving, caring, communicating, supporting each other through life experiences. Also, creating our own family.”
