15. ‘Brad Paisley’s Comedy Rodeo’
Brad Paisley can tell a joke, but it wasn’t enough to make this comedy special stand out.
14. ‘Anne’
The update on Anne of Green Gables was great for fans but blah for the rest of us.
13. ‘Friends From College’
With little to like about the plot or characters in Friends From College, it tough to have much fondness for these friends or their issues.
12. ‘Orange Is the New Black’
OITNB really felt off the rails with this disjointed fifth season.
11. ‘Naked’
What if Groundhog Day starred Marlon Wayans? You can find out when you watch the very average Naked.
10. ‘Atypical’
Despite it’s interesting focus on an autistic teen boy navigating love and friendship, Atypical is a problematic family drama.
9. ‘To the Bone’
Anorexia and the struggle to stay in recovery are the focus of this tough, raw and sometimes histrionic film.
8. ‘Ozark’
Jason Bateman is a money launderer for a Mexican cartel on the lam with his family in this serviceable drama.
7. ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’
Kimmy was predictably lovable and found herself in some oddball yet rote hijinks. Not too shabby for Season 3.
6. ‘Glow’
The ’80s are alive and well in Glow, where women buck stereotypes to be their true selves — in the wrestling ring.
5. ‘Gypsy’
Naomi Watts’ foray into TV was with this excellent psycho-drama focused on a therapist who crossed major boundaries with her clients.
4. ‘The Defenders’
The Defenders united to save New York and gave us all the best bits of their individual franchises while working as a powerhouse team.
3. ‘Sense8’
Despite being canceled, Sense8‘s second season delivered on action, sci-fi thrills and meaningful, human stories.
2. ‘House of Cards’
House of Cards was in great shape this season as Frank and Claire kept the wolves at bay from all sides.
1. ‘Okja’
Okja is a heartbreaking tale of a young girl who travels the world to save her friend, a genetically modified superpig.
