We love Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence. The Hunger Games, American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook are all movies that have made her a household name.
Lawrence has dipped her toes into the waters of the horror genre once before with The House at the End of the Street. But now, teamed up with Black Swan director (and her new beau!) Darren Aronofsky, she’s tackling the psychological horror flick Mother!
The trailer for the film seems reminiscent of Rosemary’s Baby, in that a young blond woman seems to be led into a dark existence where Satan rules the roost. A bloody light bulb, a creepy old house and a menacing, sexually charged Michelle Pfeiffer all add up to one of the most frightening films of the year, opening Sept. 15. We’ll be first in line!
Read on for more September films we can’t wait to see.
