It’s a new year, and with it comes a new awards season. The first awards show of the season this year is the 75th annual Golden Globes, and our first taste of what to expect for Sunday’s proceedings happens on the red carpet. The veritable pulse of any awards show is the red carpet, and without a doubt, the 75th Golden Globes had a lively red carpet.
There were plenty of bold statements being made by those in attendance, with the sartorial trend that spoke the loudest being one that the public had known about for quite some time: the decision for numerous attendees to wear all black in order to raise awareness about sexual assault and harassment in Hollywood. The move is widely considered to be a show of allyship and solidarity with the multitude of men and women who have come forth with their own stories of harassment in the industry.
And while black was the dominant trend of the evening, there were plenty of other fashion trends on the Golden Globes red carpet, such as metallics, beading and bold accessories. Let’s take a look at the best-dressed attendees of the 75th Golden Globes.
