2018 has already been a hard year for love. We’re only entering March, and over a dozen beloved celebrity couples have called it quits, including Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston, Miranda Lambert and Anderson East, Michael Sheen and Sarah Silverman, Alicia Silverstone and Christopher Jarecki and so many more.
Luckily, though, the Oscars shined a bright light on not only diversity, equality and the Time’s Up movement — but also on relationships that are still going strong in Hollywood. Whether they were kissing on the red carpet or just showing their partner some support, the love was very real and very alive. Finally, some proof love is not dead.
Click through our slideshow to see all the cutest couples that attended the 2018 Oscars — also, please note that Gina Rodriguez and Joe LoCicero were basically making out all night on the red carpet. They were flaunting all the PDA. Anyone want to take bets on an engagement coming soon?
Gina Rodriguez & Joe LoCicero
Gina Rodriguez started dating actor Joe LoCicero in late 2016, and by the looks of things, their relationship seems to be going very, very well. Rodriguez couldn't keep her hands off her beau, and some fans noticed she was wearing a pretty diamond ring on that finger. Could they be engaged?! The couple hasn't confirmed it yet, but we see a bright future for these two.
Jordan Peele & Chelsea Peretti
Jordan Peele brought his wife and the "funniest person in the whole world" Chelsea Peretti to the Oscars, and who better when he was accepting his Best Director award for Get Out? Usually, they keep their relationship private (for a very good reason), but we were thrilled to see them together at the award show.
Judd Apatow & Leslie Mann
The Oscars wouldn't be the same without this comedy duo walking arm-in-arm on the red carpet. Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow, who've been married since 1997, are Hollywood royalty by now and always supporting each other — especially when navigating through the brutal teen years with their girls.
Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been married since 1996 and are still crazy in love. Not only is their marriage going strong, but the family they've created together is incredibly tight and always showing love to one another.
Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves
Matthew McConaughey brought his entrepreneurial wife, Camila Alves, to the Oscars this year — a rare date night for the two, who are busy raising their three kids Levi (9 years old), Vida (8 years old) and Livingston (5 years old).
Maya Rudolph & Paul Thomas Anderson
Married since 2001, former SNL star Maya Rudolph brought her one-and-only, Paul Thomas Anderson, to the Oscars. The two regularly throw dance parties with their four kids at home; here's to hoping they had a dance party of their own after the Oscars.
Sam Rockwell & Leslie Bibb
Sam Rockwell won big last night. Not only did he take home the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, but he spent the evening with girlfriend of 11 years and fellow actor Leslie Bibb by his side. While he dedicated the Oscar win to his old friend Philip Seymour Hoffman (who died in 2014), he did give Bibb a shoutout from the SAG Awards stage, saying, “My beloved Leslie Bibb, who puts up with me. I love you, baby. I love you,” Ugh, couple goals!
Timothée Chalamet & Armie Hammer
OK, these two aren't a real couple but they played our favorite on-screen couple of 2017 in Call Me By Your Name, so it was only fair we included the sweet moment they shared together at the 2018 Oscars. They didn't take home any trophies, but their friendship is a big enough win in our book.
Armie Hammer & Elizabeth Chambers
While Armie Hammer spent some time with his on-screen lover Timothée Chalamet, he spent most of the night cuddling up to his new wife, Elizabeth Chambers. And luckily, she loves everything about the Oscars. She told W magazine, "It’s so much fun seeing friends out, and everyone has this festive spirit. It’s truly a weekend of celebration. I love films. I’ve seen all of the contenders."
Kumail Nanjiani & Emily V. Gordon
We couldn't exclude the couple who turned their real-life love story into a massively successful film and made the world fall in love with them. Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, who've been married since 2007, were responsible for The Big Sick (they both wrote and executive-produced the movie) and made their Oscars debut this year. We can't wait to see what they make together in the future.
Woody Harrelson & Laura Louie
Get yourself a partner who looks at you like Laura Louie's looking at Woody Harrelson in this picture. Married since 2008, the couple looked happy and in love, and even though Harrelson didn't walk away with Best Supporting Actor (his costar, Sam Rockwell, nabbed that), he still went home a winner with Laura Louie by his side.
Sarah Paulson & Holland Taylor
OK, so these two weren't at the actual Oscars award show this year, but we love them, and they looked so darn happy and cute at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, so we had to include them. Love is alive, folks! Let's hope it stays this way for the rest of the year.
