As someone who religiously checks her horoscope — daily, weekly, monthly and across any and all websites and apps I can find — it’s safe to say I have a deep understanding of my own (and my friends’ and family’s) signs. Sure, it sounds borderline obsessive, but as a Cancer, I almost always need validation for how I’m feeling (to be perfectly honest with you) and a heads up on what kind of nonsense I might be in for that day, week or month — you know, to mentally and emotionally prepare myself, as Cancers do.
And as someone so endlessly fascinated by zodiac signs, I’ve always wondered: Who shares my sign? What characteristics do we both share, and do we all have similar professions and/or passions?
After doing a bit of research, I discovered — as you will when you click through this slideshow — I shared my sign with Malala Yousafzai and Ida B. Wells, among others; women who are equal parts compassionate and passionate, loyal and always on the quest to ensure the people around them are safe and loved and taken care of.
