John Malkovich recreates stunning famous photos (VIDEO)

John Malkovich and American photographer, Sandro Miller, have teamed up to recreate some of the most famous portraits captured throughout history. And the results are stunning, but also a little creepy because of their accuracy — for example, seeing Malkovich impersonate Marilyn Monroe with roses on his breasts.

The project, titled “Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich: Homage to Photographic Masters” focused on honoring photographs and photographers that have inspired Miller and have shaped his photographic career.

The project, which began in 2013, sees Malkovich and Miller reproduce portraits from pop culture, film and history. Miller selected 35 iconic photos and they not only showcase Miller’s fantastic photographic skills, but also Malkovich’s extraordinary acting as he manages to capture the tone and emotion of the portraits beautifully.

Malkovich channels a variety of people, ranging from Alfred Hitchcock (inspired by Albert Watson’s “Alfred Hitchcock with Goose”) to Pablo Picasso, (inspired by Irving Penn’s “Pablo Picasso, Cannes, France”).

“John is the most brilliant, prolific person I know. His genius is unparalleled,” Miller claimed, according to ET Online. “I can suggest a mood or an idea and within moments, he literally morphs into the character right in front of my eyes. He is so trusting of my work and our process… I’m truly blessed to have him as my friend and collaborator.”
