Logan Marshall-Green channels Christian Grey in steamy Madame Bovary clip (VIDEO)

We all love a sexy bodice-ripper, so we’re thrilled to share with you this exclusive clip from the upcoming film Madame Bovary, starring Mia Wasikowska and Logan Marshall-Green. Take a look!

When Gustave Flaubert’s novel, Madame Bovary, first appeared in 1856, it was attacked for what was then considered to be an obscene story line about a woman having adulterous affairs. Flaubert was even put on trial for indecency in a French court of law, but was acquitted in 1857. The public examination of this scandalous story popularized the novel and soon made it a best-seller, of course, because everyone wanted to decide for themselves whether or not it was, in fact, obscene. Does that sound like any popular book that became a movie in recent times?

Now, a new film version is about to hit cinemas, starring Mia Wasikowska as the controversial Madame Bovary — a beautiful young woman who grows so bored of country life in provincial northern France that she manages to forage a path to self-ruin. Her marriage to Charles (Henry Lloyd-Hughes) is unfulfilling and she begins to fill her time with stormy affairs and running up shopping debts with a disingenuous local merchant, Monsieur Lheureux (Rhys Ifans).

Logan Marshall-Green exhibits a dark charm, similar to that of Christian Grey, as he calmly and quietly taunts Emma Bovary until she gives in to his treacherous seduction. Watch the video to see which part of Emma Bovary’s clothing he uses to forcefully pull her body toward him in a passionate, yet forbidden, make-out session.

Madame Bovary also stars Ezra Miller as Leon Dupuis and Paul Giamatti as Monsieur Homais. The movie sizzles into theaters on June 12.
