Bridget Jones’s Baby gender reveal is, hands down, the best we’ve seen yet

Bridget Jones is back and dare we say this may be her funniest movie yet. Take a look at our exclusive clip and prepare yourself for a bundle of laughs.

In Bridget Jones’s Baby, 43-year-old Bridget (Renée Zellweger) has finally opened her womb for business. Yes, she’s expecting a beautiful baby, but she has one wee little problem: She’s not sure which charming and handsome man is the father.

The first possible Daddy is Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), whose character is based on Mr. Darcy from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. He’s dashing but prickly, smooth yet closed off. He’s able to spin circles around even the shrewdest women.

The second man hoping to hand out cigars is Jack Qwant (Patrick Dempsey), a rich American author and matchmaker, who’s impulsive, but always up for a new adventure.

Like all good love triangles, there are pros and cons to either Mark or Jack being the father. Bridget has a history with Mark, but also baggage. Things with Jack are new and exciting for Bridget and creating a family with him could be an unexpected blessing.

In our exclusive clip, the fabulous Emma Thompson, who also helped write the screenplay, plays Bridget’s OB-GYN, Dr. Rawling. Bridget is at her doctor’s appointment to get a sonogram and discovers she’s able to find out the sex of the baby. But Bridget has one more surprise up her sleeve, considering not only does she not know the sex of her baby, she also doesn’t know which man is the father.

But crafty Bridget handles the situation just as we’d expect her to. With grace, humility and of course, humor.
