Amy Robach Just Confessed Her Family Watches ‘Outlander’ Together – Except These Scenes
Is Amy Robach a die-hard Outlanderfan? All signs point to yes. The GMA3 host shared with SheKnows that her family loves to watch the series together — and we’re extremely here for that group binging experience.
Robach, who is mom to 19-year-old Ava and 16-year-old Annalise, admitted that the family has regular Outlander nights. “It gets a little racy but, you know, we’re always afraid of sex but we’re not afraid of violence,” she noted. “I’m leaning into the European side of parenting.”
When love scenes come on the screen, her two kids usually make the executive decision to call it a day. “That’s when [they] might say, ‘Mom, I think I’m going to finish this in my room,'” Robach said. “‘I don’t know that I want to be sitting here watching this with you.'”
Another helpful coping mechanism for those NSFW scenes? The whole family avoids eye contact and just pushes through, “It definitely gets really quiet.”
Robach’s family — which includes three stepsons with actor Andrew Shue — is a tight-knit one, whether they’re catching up on Jamie and Claire (Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan) or snapping very cute group photos. She compared the whole blended family to the classic sitcom The Brady Bunch.
“That’s what everyone has said,” the host told SheKnows. “We’re missing Cindy and I have noted we’re also missing Alice. Andrew had three boys, I had two girls. So, it’s pretty darn close to The Brady Bunch.”
