Sharon Horgan Just Revealed Which ‘Bad Sisters’ Co-Stars Would Help Her With Murder & Who’d Turn Her In
In Bad Sisters, Sharon Horgan plays Eva Garvey, one of the tight-knit Garvey sisters who get investigated by life insurers after their brother-in-law dies. In real life, however, Horgan isn’t too sure if they’d be able to pull off the same stint. Talking to SheKnows, the Irish actress shared which costars she’d call as an accomplice to murder, and which ones she’d steer clear of.
As for which of the Bad Sisters would be an asset in the mission, Horgan chose Eve Hewson. “She just knows a lot of people through her dad and whatnot,” she said. (Hewson’s dad is none other than Irish rock legend Bono.) “I think Bono could probably get us out of the country really quickly if it came to that,” Horgan joked. Albeit hilarious, it seems like a good choice to me.
Talking about an accomplice who’d fail in their mission, Horgan chose Eva Birthistle. “She’s so nice,” Horgan said, noting that she’d recently given her a kitten. “I do that with all my close friends,” Horgan shared. “I could imagine her pulling out of it just when the going gets rough,” Horgan said of Birthistle. Though Horgan spared no shots to her costars, she said none of them would turn her in so she’d probably do it herself. “I’d feel pretty bad,” she said.
Regarding her costars in Catastrophe, a sitcom that ran for four seasons from 2015 to 2019, she was less hesitant in her choices. As an accomplice she’d undoubtedly call Mark Bonnar. “He’s just cold but he seems on it,” she said, “he’s a man who gets things done.”
As for who she wouldn’t trust, Horgan chose Rob Delaney, her better half on the show. “He’s so big he would make noise, people would hear him coming a mile away,” she joked. “Is that a f***g elephant? No it’s Rob Delaney.” For her the choice of who’d turn her in is also obvious: Jonathan Forbes. “He would turn me in just because he’s a coward,” she joked.
Moving on to Game Night, the action-comedy movie she starred in 2018, Horgan would call on Billy Magnussen as an accomplice. “He’s a just the best company and there’s just something about him that I think he could have what it takes to murder,” she said, pondering. “I don’t know why I’m saying that, mainly it’s because I want to hangout with him and murder people.”
As for an accomplice that could easily go awry, Horgan chose Jason Bateman. “I think he’d get bored really quickly,” Horgan said of Bateman “He’d find something better to do.” Rachel McAdams, who plays Bateman’s wife in the movie, would most likely turn her in. “She’s a good person,” Horgan said, “she wouldn’t want to have blood on her hands and it would be for the greater good of the wider community.”
Horgan also revealed out of all the projects she’s written, which she would, “Marry, murder and make love to…” And yes, one of her answers is, “I’m just really horny for it.”
Here’s hoping Horgan isn’t planning on becoming a criminal anytime soon – but, if she is, she’s already got her fair share of accomplices.
