Wes Bentley Takes Our Extra-Challenging Yellowstone Trivia Test

For almost five seasons now, Wes Bentley has played Jamie Dutton, the conflicted adopted son of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton on Yellowstone. The season 4 finale left Jamie at a crossroads of good and evil when he ended up murdering his biological dad. But like, his dad was not a cool guy, so, like everything else in the show, it’s complicated. Just another day on the ranch. Bentley sat down with SheKnows and we decided to find out how well he knows his own show with some Yellowstone trivia. Although Bentley seemed nervous, he proved he actually knows Yellowstone pretty well. Except for one very important character. His on-screen brother Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes). Sorry, Kayce, apparently everything about you is forgettable! Insert dramatic brother music here. The questions started out simple, from who Jamie’s biological father was, to the name of Jamie’s adopted mother but then ramped up to how old Jamie was when his mother died to the reason why John Dutton would never sell the ranch.

The one that stumped Bentley the most was a callback to the pilot. We asked him what Jamie’s line to John was during his brother’s funeral. Bentley was left speechless for a few seconds, but then quickly nailed the answer. Hint: It is not, “Why did you take my hat?” Though frankly, we’d love to see Jamie Dutton confronting John Dutton about stealing his hat.

Season 5 promises a lot of drama for Jamie and John. Yellowstone season 5 premieres on the Paramount network Sunday, November 13 and will be available to stream on Peacock.
