The Cast of Party Down Season 3 Test Their Knowledge of the Show in a Challenging Game of Trivia

More than ten years since season two of Party Down aired, the sitcom is back and better than ever with season three airing Feb 24 on Starz. Though we’re excited to tune in and catch all the new face-palm moments the characters get themselves into, SheKnows’ Reshma Gopaldas spoke to some of the cast members (Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Jane Lynch, Zoe Chao, Tyrel Jackson Williams, Martin Starr, and Ryan Hansen) to test their knowledge on the show’s first two seasons.

When asked where the pilot of Party Down was filmed back in 2009, most of the cast did quite well. “I think just a backyard,” Scott said. Starr and Hansen, however, went above and beyond. “A backyard, but wait did it used to have horses?” Starr asked himself. “Which pilot?” he continued, before they both said in unison, “There were two pilots.” Starr then turned the tables, “Somebody didn’t do her research!”

For Chao and Williams, newcomers in this new season, they proved they need to brush up on some Party Down trivia themselves. “The horse one?” Chao, who also stars in Your Place or Mine, said. Not quite, Zoe!

As for the question about what other show served as Party Down‘s inspiration, Lynch got it wrong by guessing ER while Marino was confident in his The Office answer. “The Office but it was not the American Office, it was the British Office,” he said.

Regardless of the cast’s somewhat questionable skills at trivia, we’re excited to tune into a new season of the show on Starz on Feb 24. It’s a long time coming!
